The Bulacan Agricultural State College uphold integrity and dedication as its prime virtues, elicit staff and students best potentials, advocates academic excellence at all times, and performs as a solid arm of the national government in its agricultural development goals.

The Bulacan Agricultural State College believes that paramount to achieving holistic excellence is the implementation of output-based and realistic policies translated into execution of development strategies of every unit of an institution to impart significantly in its overall success as a service-oriented organization.

The Bulacan Agricultural State College perceived and acknowledged as an outstanding higher education institution in the nation with its provision of affordable and excellent education. It shall be a community of scholars and a center for learning where individuals can develop their capabilities in an environment that promotes and supports academic and research endeavors. It shall be a diverse collegiate community where the highest moral and ethical values shall prevail. It shall provide outstanding educational programs with a global perspective and a foundation based on compassion for knowledge and understanding.
CORE MISSION

The Bulacan Agricultural State College shall strive for excellence in Agriculture, Arts & Sciences, Teacher Education, Entrepreneurship, Engineering, Food & Information Technology, Hospitality Management, and other future disciplines. It shall provide and facilitate ever-changing educational needs and services for those seeking to expand their intellectual horizons. It shall address national and international issues and be established as a major presence and contributor to the progress of the global community.

HISTORY

In 1951, through the combined efforts of then Plaridel, Bulacan Mayor Jose Mariano, Bulacan Governor Alejo Santos and Congressman Rogaciano Mercado, the Plaridel Community Agricultural High School (PCAHS) was established in Bintog, Plaridel, Bulacan with Miguel T. Ongleo as School Principal. Due to lack of space, PCAHS was transferred to the site of the Rural Progress Administration in Pinaod, San Ildefonso, Bulacan, through the initiative of then Mayor Jaime Ileto with Dionisio Caday as School Principal. The school was later renamed Bulacan Provincial Agricultural High School.

On June 20, 1953, it was again renamed, this time Bulacan National Agricultural High School

by virtue of Republic Act 948 with a budget appropriation of P50,000.00. On June 8, 1955, President Ramon Magsaysay signed Proclamation No. 163 reserving certain portions of the Buenavista Estate for BNAHS site measuring 1,924,605 sq.m. or about 192.4605 hectares. On June 21, 1959, R.A. 2416 was signed into law converting BNAHS into Bulacan National Agricultural School of the Pampanga Agricultural College type with an appropriation of P100,000.00. On May 25, 1963, President Diosdado Macapagal signed Proclamation No. 114 reserving as additional site for BuNAS certain parcels of the public domain in Akle, Angat, Bulacan (now part of San Ildefonso and Doa Remedios Trinidad) covering an area of 4,420,296 sq.m. or about 442.0296 hectares.

On February 24, 1998, President Fidel V. Ramos signed into law R.A. 8548, a consolidation of House Bill No. 1449, authored by the Bulacan 3rd District Congressman Ricardo Silverio which was passed on February 6, 1998, and Senate Bill No. 2389 authored by Sen. Edgardo Angara which was passed on February 5, 1998, converting BuNAS into Bulacan National Agricultural State College.

On October 2, 2001, Congresswoman Lorna C. Silverio of the 3rd District of Bulacan filed H.B. No. 2473 seeking amendment to R.A. 8548 renaming BNASC into Bulacan Agricultural State College (BASC). It was signed into law by President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo on February 19, 2004 as R.A. No. 9249.

As a chartered State College, BNASC provides quality tertiary education and advanced studies in agriculture, arts and sciences, teacher education programs and other allied disciplines in order to produce graduates who are equipped with adequate knowledge, expertise, proper values and other suitable attributes necessary to meet the challenges of local, regional, national and global developments.
