EXAMINATIONS Some AVERKO courses include an on-campus exam. This exam is usually compulsory for students of University of Applied Sciences only, as they require a grade in order for the course to be recognised. Other students (individuals, who are not enrolled in a University degree program) may arrange to substitute a take-home or distance exam or assignment for the on-campus exam for completion and receive a certificate. The next exam will be held on 25.8.2011 at 1619 in Kokkola and Ylivieska. You can check all the courses that include an exam as well as time details here. You must register by e-mail to your tutor teacher a week before the exam. If you have registered to a course via Finnish Online University of Applied Sciences and it is impossible for you to take part in an exam in Kokkola or Ylivieska, the exam is possible to be held at your home University of Applied Sciences. In this case you must contact the eSecretary of your home University of Applied Sciences, who agrees on the exam practices together with AVERKOs Student affairs secretary. However, you must agree on the controller, room and equipment with the eSecretary of your home University of Applied Sciences. There shall be no extra cost for AVERKO for the arrangement of the exam. CERTIFICATES If you are an AVERKO student (who is not from a University of Applied Sciences) and you wish to have a certificate of your participation, you must request for the certificate by e-mail from AVERKOs Student affairs secretary (see below) once you know that you have passed the course. The request must include information on the course you have participated, tutor teachers name as well as the period of studies. The certificate will be delivered to you by post.

The marks of students who have registered via Finnish Online University of Applied Sciences and via WinhaWille are delivered directly to your home University of Applied Sciences. Notice that you may have to request your University to accept these marks as a part of a University degree. CANCELLATIONS You can still cancel your registration without charge a day after the first day of studies (5th of May at the latest).
