Racing thoughts are symptom of stress
CHENNAI: Many time looking for
people come and say my thoughts race constantly everyday. As my thoughts race, I cant organize myself. I am always trying to hold a thought, but I keep forgetting; then the thought is replaced by other racing thoughts. I cant concentrate on any thing. I find these symp toms very distre ssing. Racing thoughts are not just thinking fast. They are thoughts that just wont be quiet; they can be in the background of other thoughts or take over a persons consciousness. A negative/ scary thought, worrying and racing thoughts is the one symptom that can bother people the most. They do not understand how they can have such thought that seems so scary and come with such impact. People say that they have awful thoughts and feel that they are going mad and that they cannot control these disturbing thoughts. They seem to come without them even thinking them. One seem to have his attention on himself all day and it feels like there are many thoughts running through mind is twofold. It is all the confusion about how you feel. Your mind spends all day answers and trying to find a way out of this hell. Some people may even stay up all ni ght, refle cting on the whole day and try ing to fig ure every thing out. Eventually, thinking just becomes automatic, it becomes a habit. All day, everyday, these thoughts seem to enter your head before you even think them can stick around all day. Then some scary thoughts always come across the mind. No one can cure me? My old self is lost forever? I have to live like this for the rest of my life? Its just me that feels like this? Ill never be able to enjoy the things I used to? I cannot be the person I used to be ? Dr. Rishi think people suffering from this kind of problems can be well treated by Trance-Therapy. Its a treatment without medicine through the power of subconscious mind. Dayanidhi Maran meeting PM raises speculation

DELHI: Amid questions over his continuance in the Union Council of Ministers, Textiles Minister and DMK nominee, Daya nidhi Maran, on Thursday met Prime Minister Manmohan Singh in New Delhi. It was not clear as to what transpired during the meeting which came ahead of the expected reshuffle of the Union Council of Ministers. Maran sought to dismiss the meeting as a routine one. "It is nothing. I am a minister," he underlined and contended that the meeting was related to official work. Maran has recently come under scrutiny over his role in the 2G spectrum issue. He was the Telecom Minister in UPA-1 when the 2G licences were allocated. Ahead of the promised reshuffle, Prime Minister Man mohan Singh and Congress president Sonia Gandhi are engaged in a careful exercise to assess the performance of ministers, their suitability in current portfolios, and gaps in caste and regional representation. With clear vacancies in the Raj Bhavans of Tamil Nadu, Delhi, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh and some incumbents keen on a shift - including back into active politics the reshuffle exercise is likely to involve governors too, party and government sources said. The PM kept the suspense over the timing of reshuffle even while meeting some Editors. Crucial Assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh and Punjab are due next year. The talk is that lateral shifts among the top four Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee, Home Minister P. Chida mbaram, Defence Minister A.K. Antony and External Affairs Minister S.M. Krishna are possible. Some Congress leaders feel Krishna might be headed for a gubernatorial assignment again. The counter argument, however, is that Dr. Singh has a good working relationship with Krishna on foreign policy and may not want a new minister to disturb the line of control between the PMO and MEA. Cabinet ministers considered vulnerable by party sources include Sports Minister M.S. Gill, Labour Minister Mallikarjun Kharge, Tribal Affairs Minister Kantilal Bhuria and Corporate Affairs Minister Murli Deora. In Bhuria's case, party leaders are keen that he concentrate on his recent appointment as Madhya Pradesh Congress chief elections to that State, where the Congress has lost two consecutive elections, are due in 2013. As for Deora, party sources said, he could be dropped if his son, Milind, is made Mumbai Pradesh Congress chief. As for the allies, Mukul Roy of the Trinamool Congress, now MoS Railways, could be upgraded to the Cabinet in the same job, following the shift of Mamata Banerjee as Chief Minister of West Bengal. Banerjee has made it clear she wants her party to retain the railways portfolio. Meanwhile, Punjab Governor Shivraj Patil is keen on returning to fulltime politics and is said to be eyeing the Rajya Sabha seat vacated by Maharashtra Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan. If the party does agree to give him the seat, he could well be back in the Cabinet. But the party leadership is not keen on having him back-- he was axed as Home Minister after the 26/11 Mumbai terror attack.

Saina slips to world No.6 in ranking
in the first round of Indian Open Super Series and then to world number 18 Inthanon Ratcha nok of Thailand in Sudir man Cup have brought to the fore the inadequacies in her game. In Thailand Open last week, Saina lost to world number 16 Xuerui Li of China in the quarterfinals and then was knocked out in the second round in the Singapore open. Though the Indian shrugged off the disappointment by reaching the finals of the Indonesian Open, it was not enough to save her from slumping in her ranking. Saina had won three Super Series title last year Singapore Open, Indonesian Open and the Hong Kong Open to end the season on a high. The girl from Hyder abad had reached her career-best international ranking of world number two in July last year.

New Delhi: A series of inconsistent performance has taken a toll on Saina Nehwal's ranking as the Indian badminton ace on Thursday slipped to number six from four in the latest rankings. Saina, who failed to defend her Singapore and Indonesia Super Series title this month, currently has 63246.5778 points in her kitty. Half-way through the year, The 21-year-old has just one title Swiss Open Grand Prix Gold and two runner - up finish to her name. In the last six months, Saina has tasted success but her defeats against lower-ranked players such as Japanese Ai Goto

The Russian fifth seed - the winner in 2004 - overcame a slow start to overwhelm wildcard Lisicki 6-4, 6-3 to advance to a final against Czech eighth seed Petra Kvitova on Saturday. World number 62 Lisicki, who had stunned second seeded French Open champion Li Na during a fairytale run to the last four, was always in trouble after her powerful serve deserted her midway through the first

while," a delighted Sharapova said afterwards. "I'm really happy even though I didn't play my best tennis today," added Sharapova, who totted up 13 double-faults during a patchy display. "To be in the final is a great achievement for me but I still feel like I've got more to do." Sharapova got off to a horrendous start, double-faulting twice in her opening service game as Lisicki surged into a 2-0 lead. Lisicki, regularly clocking serves timed at 120mph, coolly held to you can't win." "Unfortunately we did not win the battles that it took today." Delie should again have scored early in the second half when she broke free only to see her shot smothered by keeper Erin McLeod. Thiney, courtesy of yet another defensive error, quickly made amends with a powerful drive that flew in off the post. Canada captain Christine Sinclair, wearing a head mask after breaking her nose and playing on against Germany, did her best to lift her side but Avily made it 3-0 when she drilled in a Sandrine Soubeyrand corner in the 67th minute.

TheRussian favourite saved a crucial break point which would have put Lisicki 4-0 up before eventually holding to remain in touch at 3-1. With her service game misfiring, Shara pova turned to her booming groundstrokes to try and find a way into the match, attacking Lisi cki's suspect second serve to break back in the fifth game. Sharapova held to level at 3-3 but Lisicki was soon back into her rhythm, holding comfortably to go 4-3 up. Lisicki's serve unrave lled in the eighth Tomis then showed off her pace, beating two defenders and rounding McLeod for France's fourth goal.

game however, and with Shara pova punishing her second serve mercilessly, the German suffered another break. Sharapova wrapped up the first set with her first ace of the match, letting out a roar of delight as Lisicki trudged back to her chair. Lisicki's problems deepened in the opening game of the second set as she double-faulted twice to gift Sharapova yet another break. With Lisicki in disarray, the 21-year-old appealed to the umpire as specks of rain began to fall on Centre Court in her next service game at 0-30 down. Play continued however and Sharapova secured another break to go 3-0 up and from there the result was never in doubt. Lisicki was given a glimmer of hope when she broke in the fourth, but Sharapova broke back immediately to regain the initiative before holding for 5-1. Lisicki secured a break in the eighth game to delay the inevitable, but Shara pova broke again to claim the win. "We were outstanding. It is all about the team and everything went right for us," Thiney said.

He said the decision was part of the tactics he had devised for Messi to have a brilliant tournament and inspire Tevez, denied he had bowed to popular demand and media pressure to include the Manchester City captain. Womens World Cup: France crush Canada to eye QF

Bochum: France crushed Canada 4-0 with two goals from Gaetane Thiney to move to the brink of a quarter-final place at the women's World Cup in Germany. The 25-year-old Thiney headed in from close range after 24 minutes and added another with a thundering 20metre strike before goals from Camille Abily and Elodie Tomis condemned Canada to a second successive defeat in the tournament. France have six points from two Group A games and will qualify for the last eight along with Germany if the hosts beat Nigeria later on Thursday. "That was a fantastic performance," France coach Bruno Bini told reporters. "It was difficult at the start but we recovered well." "The whole team played brilliantly. We raised the level when we needed to and were were very strong technically." Canada began brig htly and created an opening on 13 minutes when Sophie Schmidt slipped a pass into the run of Diana Matheson but her poor first touch allowed keeper Berangere Sapo wicz to smother. France, 1-0 winners over Nigeria in their opening game, gradually took control and with the Canadian defence looking out of sorts, struck after 24 minutes with Thiney heading in from 10 metres after Elise Bussaglia's cross was deflected and Canada twice failed to clear. With Canada's defence in tatters, France were unlucky not to add another in the first half as forward Marie-Laure Delie dominated in the box, going close on three occasions. "We made too many individual mistakes," said Canada's Matheson. "If you don't score then

Less than a month ago, Tevez appeared out of the running for a place in Argentina's squad but he and Batista cleared the air over issues that had kept the striker out of the reckoning and he has impressed the coach in training. "Carlos will play because he can link much more with Lionel and the idea is not to have players of such speed as we would have if (Angel) Di Maria and (Ezequiel) Lavezzi played (either side of Messi) ... With Carlos we have more play," he told reporters on Thursday. Batista, who has dropped Di Maria to the bench to make way for

"Lionel must enjoy what he's doing, he's a great player, the world's best, and we'll take maximum advantage of that. We built a team for him and let's hope it's his Copa America."
