3. center for rapid Prototyping and Product Design (crPPD) in the Division of Manufacturing Processes and Automation Engg.: Rapid prototyping (RP), that combines Computer Aided Design (CAD) and generation of physical objects, is one of the vital components of Reverse Engineering (RE). It is an essential part of the design process which exposes and facilitates the elimination of design errors early in the product development stage and before any significant investment is made. In RP, physical parts are fabricated layer by layer. It uses additive manufacturing processes, which do not require any tools or set-ups compared to the subtractive techniques used in the traditional machining operation and thus reduces the prototype development time. In NSIT Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM) machine has been procured to produce the prototype of physical objects. Machine reads the data from the CAD drawing in the form of SLT files and lays down successive layers of materials to build up the prototype. The primary advantage to additive fabrication is its ability to create almost any shape or geometric feature. These prototypes can be used extensively for the validation of Design and Mechanism The vision of this centre is to develop a state of the Art facility in this Institute so that under graduates and post graduates students from this institute, as well as from the other institutes can conduct joint research on industry oriented programme. 4. center for Application of Information Technology in financial Systems (cAITfS) in the Division of Information Technology: The Advance Centre of IT (CAITFS) has been developed in the Division of Information Technology, NSIT, New Delhi. The main focus of this centre is to look into the information security aspects in networks. Information security in networks has been a topic of much discussion in the last few years. This centre CAITFS plays an important role in enhancing the technical talents of the students and provides research facility to the faculty of various departments. The Centre has also produced around 10 research papers in various international journals/ Conferences/Symposiums. Keeping in view the objective of reducing unemployment, countywide movement has been launched to promote entrepreneurship as an alternate career among Science and Technology Graduates. To achieve this, Science and Technology graduates who possess latent entrepreneurial potentials need to be motivated, trained and guided on various aspects of enterprise launching and management. In view of this, Entrepreneurship Awareness and Development Programme for developing entrepreneurial competence amongst NSIT grandaunts have been planned as a regular feature at NSIT
