How does this combined accreditation work?

The regular route to the CMA designation begins with a university degree, most commonly in commerce and/or accounting. Candidates then write the CMA Entrance Examination. Upon successfully passing the CMA Entrance Exam, candidates enter into a two-year professional program called the Strategic Leadership Program (SLP). However, the curriculum of CMAs Strategic Leadership Program is highly congruent with that of the IIMA PGP program. Therefore, combining these programs allows students advanced standing into the designation and reduces the time required to earn the CMA designation by those two years.
