PROJECT DATA
Construction of Rizal / Argonaut Highway and SBF Expressway Extension Contract Package RB-01 Existing road consisted of asphalt paved road with some sections showing defects and a new construction (By-Pass section) approx. 1.22 km

PROJECT PROFILE

3 existing roads: from 2 to 4 lanes, aggre. length = 4.22 km improvement of 1.737 km existing road section new construction of 1.81 km by-pass road construction of:

relocation of affected existing public utilities signalized intersections on 6 major junctions

6 new concrete bridges, bored pile found., approx. total length = 415.60 m 6 utility bridges on 4 bridge locations

REASON FOR SLIPPAGE

Delay in the issuance of the Tree Cutting Permit


resolved only last February 15, 2001 4 month time extension subject for approval by FAPO-PMO

RECOMMENDATION

Mobilize more equipment

3 existing road sections: from 2 to 4 lanes const. of a by-pass road that runs on a new alignment SECTIONS:

Basin St. Binictican Bridge(Rizal Hway, ~2.26 km) George Dewey St. Causeway St. (Argonaut Hway, ~1.19 km) Boton Tarlac Section (Argonaut Hway extension, ~2.34 km) Binictican Boton Section (By-Pass Rd., ~1.22 km)

Kalalake Bridge (along Argonaut Hway)

47.74 m, three-span superstructure resting on 2 bored piles (1200mm dm. by 44 m, 1500mm dm. by 49 m resp.) span 1: 16.00m RDG girder; span 2: 18.40 steel girder; span 3: 12.50m RCDG existing will be removed and replaced

Binictican Bridge (along Rizal Hway)

30.80 m, 3-span bored piles: 1000mm by 40.0m, at piers and 400mm by 400mm precast piles, ~30.0 m long abutments deck is flat slab
