Dear friends, Happy New Year! We made it! Praise the Lord! Thank you so much for your prayers and support as we completed our deputation process! By the grace of God, we made our goal for a departure date of December 15! Once here, we continued to see Gods hand at work in all of the details of settling in. We were guests with our community director Tim Cole and his family for only one night before we were able to move into our apartment! During our first full day here we were able to get ID cards, set up cell phones, our PO Box, schedule Internet installation and move into our very own place!

Both our phone number and our mailing address are exactly the same as calling or mailing to the US!* ~ Winter Blitz! ~ The day after Christmas we loaded onto a bus with 50 high school students and headed to Austria for Winter Blitz! This was the inaugural year for this type of camp, it was a HUGE success! Students had the option of snow sports or basketball camp! On top of all the crazy activities provided this week, each evening we held Club times in which the nearly 400 total students from 18 military communities heard a very clear presentation of the gospel. By the end of the week many had responded by placing their faith in Jesus Christ for the very first time, and many more left with a renewed passion for Him and a desire for that to be a reality in their daily lives. Among those were 12 students from Heidelberg! < Follow Up > As you know, our desire is not only to see students come to know Christ, but to walk alongside them as they learn what it means to live for Him. To that end, we put on an event called God(the)father Night. The purpose of this time was to create a fun environment

to officially welcome these students to the family - as you can tell by the title it was a Godfather themed evening complete with Italian food and soundtrack :) We met with these students two Wednesday evenings in a row to encourage them and give them some tools for growing in their new relationships with Christ! They will also be paired up with a one-on-one mentor who will meet with them to pray, answer any questions they may have, and hold them accountable for the rest of this semester! Club started up for the semester on January 25! We are doing a series on Heros and Sheros of the Bible, teaching students about the great men and women of faith whose stories are recorded in the Bible! We are so excited to see what God has in store for us and for our students this school year! $ Money Matters $ The cost for our health insurance through YFC increased for 2011, so our current monthly pledges are now short by about $200. *** PRAYER and PRAISE REQUESTS *** Please pray for a continued smooth transition for us as we get used to doing life in Germany, and praise the Lord for all of his provision and blessing in this area thus far! Praise the Lord for the decisions made at Winter Blitz! Pray that the effects of Winter Blitz will be far-reaching and long-lasting in all of the communities that attended Pray for the new student-mentorships happening this semester, that they would be fruitful! Praise the Lord that the belongings we shipped arrived safely with minimal damage!
