Epikure 8545-W-52 Epikure 8545-W-52 is a non-ionic, water reducible, modified amine adduct, which can be combined with standard

or diluted liquid epoxy resins as well as epoxy resin emulsions / dispersions. It can be used in both civil engineering and high performance anti-corrosive coatings. It offers fast drying at temperatures down to 10 C. Areas of use: Epikure 8545-W-52 is an extremely versatile curing agent and can be used in a wide variety of applications ranging from sealers to self-levelling flooring; and from metal primers to decorative top coats. Its low degree of shrinkage makes it ideal for thick coatings such as selflevelling screeds and grouts. Features: Zero VOCs Benzyl alcohol free Very low free-amine content Visible end of pot-life No induction time Solution and colour stability Low shrinkage Thick films Fast dry Good through-cure Green concrete Controlled free volume Microporous Excellent adhesion Self-levelling Silk and matt finish Applications: Primers Sealers Self-levelling flooring Thick film coatings Screeds / grouts Anti-corrosion coatings Combination steel / concrete floors Shrinkage: The controlled free volume achieved by using Epikure 8545-W-52 offers minimum shrinkage and a degree of microporosity in the cured coating. Perfect for application to green concrete.

For optimum performance in thick films, low shrinkage values are highly desirable. Shrinkage is caused by evaporation of solvents (in this case water) and molecular shrinkage due to polymerisation.
