Committee members can be involved in many different activities including following up with and guiding prospective members through the membership process and into the congregation, arrange/deliver welcome bags, and plan/facilitate new member events. WILDERNESS SHABBAT

Services will be held at Foothills Unitarian (1815 Yorktown Avenue Fort Collins, 80526) again this year and there are many ways to get involved.

Carpools will depart from Congregation Har Shalom at 10:15 after Torah Study on Saturday. The Torah Service takes place after a short hike, and those wishing to continue the hike may do so. The trails selected will be moderate; requiring proper attire and shoes. Bring water and a bag lunch. Well behaved dogs on leashes are welcome. July 9th at Bobcat Ridge Natural Area (David Trevino) August 6th at Lory State Park (Erika Sloat) There will also be a service at CHS led by a lay person.

MISHNAH STUDY GROUP


Every Wednesday at 1:00 PM at CHS, starting July 13 Please join us as we read through this classic Jewish text in Hebrew and English. We will be working from the Blackman Mishnah edition. The first book of the Mishnah we will be studying is Brachot. Texts are online: http://www.hebrewbooks.org/9675. If you plan on coming, please email Rabbi Ben for information on the current week's reading.

We will be studying kabbalistic texts in Hebrew at CHS with Rabbi Ben. We will be reading the Hebrew text and translating on the spot. If you do not read Hebrew you can sit in and participate in the discussion. The participation thus far has been very engaged and lively. Join us!

Any card that is left with a zero balance for 90 days, will deactivate so always keep at least 1 cent on the card. Drop-ins are welcome, each individual class is $12. The syllabus can be found here. CAMP MELTON 2011 SUMMER SEMINAR


It's officially summer and Camp Melton is around the corner!
Cost is $36 or FREE OF CHARGE to Melton students and graduates if you bring a friend! We are running the Modern Living: Maintaining Balance Camp Melton series twice and hope you can join us.

COURSE DESCRIPTION:

Searching for ways to find balance in our lives is a recurring theme in modern living. Throughout this course, participants will study a wide variety of intriguing texts related to the various elements of our lives- family, work and community- that are constantly hanging in the balance. Each lesson offers ample opportunities for students to engage with Jewish texts that provide much food for thought in terms of prioritizing and balancing our lives, while experiencing the joy and adventure of Jewish text study that is such an integral part of the Florence Melton Adult Mini-School experience. All classes will be held at Rodef Shalom, 450 S. Kearney St., Denver, CO 80224.
