In this paper, I would pick two study case that explain how cultural diversity i s able to shape corporate

policy, which directly mean influence to manager decis ion. The first is cultural diversity in The Coca Cola Company. Joe Solmonese (th e President of Human Right Campaign of United States) said, The Coca Cola Company is a model employer for diversity and inclusion within its own work force and a s a member of the large business community. It leadership on lesbian, gay, bisex ual, and transgender equality in the workplace is not only reflected in its long -standing achievement of 100 percent on corporation equality index, but in its p rincipled purpose anti-discrimination legislation that would protect every worke r in the United States from being judged on the basis of their sexual orientatio n or gender identity1 . Diversity is the heart of this company. They try to create work environment that provides all associates equal access to information, development, and opportuni ty. In this famous coke company, diversity is seeing as more than just a policie s and practices. It has been the integral part of the company. How Coca Cola Company handle the challenge of Cultural Diversity The Coca Cola workplace strategy includes programs to attract, retain, and devel op diverse talent; provide support systems for groups with diverse backgrounds; and educate all associates so that they will master the skills to achieve sustai nable growth. The most interesting system that this company promotes is they make such trainin g for their employees. There are three main pillars of diversity education namel y, diversity training, diversity speaker series and diversity library. Ongoing d iversity training helps drive employee engagement, create a work environment tha t visibly values and leverages diversity and accelerates productivity. The compa ny also offers supplier diversity training to help ensure that associates unders tand how to leverage the procurement power of the company by creating a pool of suppliers that include minority- and women-owned businesses.

Through those three pillars, directly Coca Cola Company has made one of the most creative breakthroughs within the cultural diversity management in multinationa l companies. The employees will have more knowledge of its various cultures insi de their companies through diversity training. Diversity library provided to mak e the employees even being able to earn by themselves, to be more independent in adding more knowledge. Since the Coca Cola Company is considered as one of the biggest MNC in the world , to have only training program on diversity is not enough. From number of emplo yee as measurement, Coca Cola Company has employed 139.600 people worldwide. 50% of them now are working outside United States (Coca Cola C. o., updated 2011). Therefore, the company also made several councils to face the challenge of cultu ral differences. It so called Diversity Advisory Councils that represent associa tes from all functions and business units of The Coca-Cola Company. The Councils make recommendations for senior management on how to advance the Company's effo rts towards achieving our diversity goals. Business Resource Groups provide thei r associates in the United States with opportunities to connect with colleagues who share similar interests and backgrounds. There are 4 business resources rela ted to cultural diversity group namely; TheCoca-ColaAfrican-American Business Resource Groupserves by providing professiona l experiences through training and development, by providing opportunities for m embers to make a meaningful contribution to the initiatives and programs that le ad to the growth of the business, and by creating connections to support the Afr ican-American Community. TheCoca-ColaAsian/Pacific-American Business Resource Groupprovides opportunities fo r people development, community engagement and relevant business insights that a ssist the Company to better connect with key customer and consumer groups. TheCoca-ColaGay and Lesbian Business Resource Group, KOLAGE,fosters an equitable wo rk environment where gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender (GLBT) employees ca n feel a sense of community within our Company.
