Incomplete entries will be rejected and complaint in respect of the same will not be
entertained.
No application for admission to a degree or a diploma either in person or in
absentia shall ordinarily be entertained, provided that the Registrar may in his
discretion accept such an application if it is received within not more than two
weeks or fourteen days after the prescribed date the applicant paying a
late fee.

Note : ( i ) The fee for admission to a Degre/Diploma is Rs. 250. ( ii ) Candidates who seek admission to more Degree's than one at the same
Convocation must make a separate application and pay a separate fee in respect of each application for Degree.
( iii ) Candidates, desiring to obtain their degree certificate by airmail in foreign countries should deposit airmail charge alongwith
the convocation fees.
** Candidates are requested to write their names accurately. Degree certificates will be issued in the names written by them in their
application for admission to the examination.

If the application is forwarded by post it should be sent by Regd. post alongwith requisite fees by way of Crossed Demand Draft in Favour
of Registrar, Gujarat University, Ahmedabad-380 009. In no case the fees will be accepted by Money Order or by enclosing currency notes.
No complaint about fees of currency notes, if enclosed with the application, despite the instruction will be entertained.

General Instructions for the students applying for admission to their degree at the
ANNUAL/SPECIAL

CONVOCATION

(1) A Convocation for conferring degrees will be held at the University Court (Senete) Hall, Ahmedabad-9, on the date and
time which will be announced when finalised.
(2) Candidate entitled to degrees are required to send their applications and fees to the Registrar. The form of application
may be obtained on payment of Rs. 10/- (Ten Rupees) per form at the University Store, Opp. School of Languages, Gujarat
University, Navrangpura, Ahmedabad-9.
(3) The fee for admission to a Degree/Diploma is Rs. 250. A candidate will be admitted to the degree or diploma in person
or in absentia at his/her option.
(4) Fees may be paid in cash at the cash counter at the University Office between 11-30 a.m. (except Recess hrs.) to 4-00
p.m. on week days OR remitted by Crossed Demand Draft payable to the Registrar, Gujarat University, Ahmedabad-380 009, with
full particulars regarding (1) Name of Examination, (2) Seat No., (3) Purpose of Remittance. No complaint about loss of currency
notes if enclosed with the application despite this instruction will be entertained.
(5) Fees once paid cannot be refunded or held in reserve for a future convocation.
(6) Candidates intending to take degree in absentia are requested to write legibly in their applications their permanent
residential addresses in full.
(7) Candidates who wish to receive their Degree in person are requested to be present in the office of the Gujarat University,
Ahmedabad, at 11-00 a.m. personally on the day named in paragraph (1). They must be in the full academic costume/both scarf
and badge prescribed for the degree to which they seek admission. The University will supply them scarf and badge on hire on
payment of Rs. 70 as deposit and Rs. 20 as charges thereof. (Candidates who are not in their proper academic costume will not
be permitted to receive their degrees in person.) The degree certificate will be distributed in the University Office at 11-30 a.m.
Candidates must bring with them the original receipts duly signed to be exchanged for the certificates. Under no circumstances
will a duplicate receipt be issued to a candidate.
(8) Complaints regarding the non-receipt of fee receipts, degree certificates or errors in the certificates should be made
within one month from the date of receipt of Degree Certificate. Complaints made thereafter will in no case be attended to.
(9) Candidates who intend to receive more than one degree at the same Convocation should send a separate prescribed
application form for each degree.
(10) The degree certificates will be sent to them in due course at the address given by them in their application form for
the admission to a degree by speed Post.
(11) Candidates applying for admission to the degree of M.B.,B.S./B.D.S./Bachelor of Physiotherapy or B.Pharm. /
D. Pharm. are requested to send the Housemanship/Internship or Dispensing certificate, as the case may be or they should
mention No. and date of such certificates, as the case may be, through the Principal of their colleges, failing which they will not
be admitted to the Degree at the Convocation.
