PROJECT DETAILS

Project # 1
Name Client Type of Project Tools Used SAM Body Control Module Validation Tier 1, Germany : System Testing, BCM : Vector CANoe, DOORS, VSS, MKS Integrity, Lab Windows CVI, Excel Test Environment : Test Work Bench with BCM Protocols used in Testing : CAN, LIN, UDS Description SAM (Signal Detect and Actuation Module) controls all the features coming under Body Control Module (BCM) of a Truck. This project aims to develop test case and test driver C-code in Lab Windows/CVI to test the functional performance of this software loaded in ECU and executing it. The various inputs for ECU functionalities are simulated and controlled through SCXI and CAN interfaces from the PC using test driver code developed. The corresponding outputs are acquired, analyzed and checked by the test driver code, with expected values for conformance of the test pass/fail. System Testing was performed on the Real Test Bench Console with NI based Signal and Data Acquisition Cards. Features Tested: Exterior Lighting, Interior Lighting, Wiper & Washer, Power Management, Network Management. Roles & Responsibilities: Software Flashing Requirement Analysis Test Case Design Manual and Automated testing Bug Reporting, Bug Conformance and Retesting Configuration Controller : :

Project # 2
Title : Antilock Brake System ECU: Diagnostic Testing Client : OEM, Germany Type of Project : System Testing, Diagnostic Testing Tools Used : Vector CANoe, Proprietary tools. Test Environment : ABS ECU, Labcar, Wiring harness, Model Configurator, Measurement PC. Protocols : CAN, LIN Description The scope of the project was the complete diagnostic testing of an Antilock Brake System ECU for a higher end car. It includes both Customer and Internal diagnostics based on UDS protocol. This project required good knowledge of ABS concept, Diagnostic protocol awareness, learning of perl on which test scripts are generated and knowledge of advance testing concepts in testcase design for assuring complete requirement coverage. Tests are carried out in hardware in loop systems, HILs called ETAS Labcar with supporting tools and test environment. Bugs found in the software is reported as defect and tracked using configuration tool. The task of the team was to ensure the fulfillment of complete system requirements provided by the client for the vehicle diagnostics. Roles & Responsibilities: UDS protocol & ABS awareness Requirement Analysis Development of Testcases Manual Execution Automation of Testcases using Perl Automated Execution on labcar Bug Reporting Retesting & Regression testing Tracking, Bug Conformance & Closure

Project #3
Title Client Type of Project Tools Used Test Environment Protocols : Electronic Stability Program ECU: Requirements Based Testing : OEM, Germany : System Testing : Vector CANoe, Proprietary tools. : ESP ECU, Labcar, Wiring harness, Model Configurator, Measurement PC. : CAN, LIN

Description The scope of the project was the testing of additional requirements of the ESP ECU other than the standard functionality. It includes Network Management, Diagnostic Communication, CAN Physical layer etc. Test Environment remains the same that used for the ABS ECU validation. Features Tested: Network Management, Diagnostic Communication, CAN Physical layer. Roles & Responsibilities: ESP Awareness Requirement Analysis, Development of Testcases Traceability to requirements and testcases to assure complete coverage Automation of Testcases using Perl Automated Execution on labcar Bug Reporting, Retesting & Regression testing Customer Interaction, Direct status reporting Tracking, Bug Conformance & Closure
