LEARNING ENVIRONMENT
In addition to quality staff, the IBA is committed to providing members with a modern, comfortable, safe and fully equipped learning environment: All learning environments must comply with minimum standards including student capacity, lighting, privacy, comfort and room temperature. refreshment and communication facilities are readily available for use by students and visitors. Accessible public transport and car parking are considered in venue selection for all programmes .All learning environments must comply with workplace health and safety requirements. In line with internal policy, we promote open access to all relevant IBA information: All admission procedures are clearly outlined and attached to enrolment criteria including total costs. Students successfully completing all or part of a course will be issued with appropriate certification. Where there is appropriate alignment, students successfully completing other recognised courses are eligible for Recognition of Prior Learning upon written substantiation. Persons aggrieved by course assessments are able to lodge a written appeal within 14 days to the Program Director who will inquire into the circumstances and respond in writing.

9. TRAINING
To ensure all its members are appropriately skilled, the IBA strongly supports the concept of training:
The IBA training curriculum is developed in competencybased format to encourage best practice in course design and development. A greater training emphasis is placed upon practical situations to develop relevant protective skills. Where possible, IBA courses are endorsed with relevant Government accreditation to ensure IBA training articulates into other certified training.

10. FEE SAFEGUARDS & REFUNDS


Ethical processing and protection of fees including clear guidelines for refunds are an integral part of IBA operations:
Training fees are deposited in an appropriate account until the commencement of the relevant course. Refund applications are expeditiously processed in alignment with the IBA refund policy. All refund applications are finalised within fourteen days of receipt. All course applications will clearly outline policies regarding refunds.

Under the IBA Code of Ethics, members of the IBA are at all times expected to conduct themselves with all honesty, sincerity, integrity, morality and good conscience:

The International Bodyguard Association was established in 1957 and now operates in over 90 countries. The IBA comprises members from both public and private agencies and has an on-going commitment to the development of bodyguarding. The IBA method of bodyguarding has been successfully taught to royal, presidential, state, diplomatic, police, military, judicial, corporate and also to private professionals throughout the world. The IBA Code of Practice has been developed to maintain the highest professional standards throughout its field of operations. Strict compliance with the Code is a condition of membership and ensures consistency, professionalism and ethical standards. The IBA is a self-regulatory organisation. 3. IBA INSTRUCTORS
All IBA Instructors have professional industry standing and are internally trained to provide the most relevant education and instruction available : All programs are regularly audited by industry and professional representatives; in addition to internal teaching personnel. Each Instructor is assessed to ensure modules delivered align fully with contemporary practices and course competencies. An annual inspection of each IBA national office is carried out by the Director General. A follow-up strategy is in place to ensure curriculum and delivery maintains current standards in terms of teaching techniques, course content and general teaching methodology. This includes annual Instructor Certification by the IBA Technical Board.
