GOD NEVER FAILS
Refrain
God never fails. God never fails.
He abides in me. He gives me victory.
No, God never fails! Just keep the faith,
And never cease to pray; just walk
Upright, call Him noon, day or night,
Hell be there, hell be there, Theres
No need to worry, for God never fails!
Verse 1
I never worry, I never fret; For God Almighty
Has never failed me yet. Though buked and
Scorned, I know that Ive been reborn,
For God never fails.
Refrain
Verse 2
No need to worry, no need to cry; Ive got my
Lord, I know He is on my side.
Daily I will trust, I never shall doubt Him,
For God never fails.

The LORD our God spoke to us at Horeb,

Isuthu Litany of Transition
Minister: Mentors, what is your pleasure concerning this candidate for manhood?
Mentors: Minister, Elders, Parents and Congregaon, we give this candidate back to you in the
same spirit of love that you gave him to us. We assure you that we have trained him in the ways
he should go and a rm that he is ready to assume the responsibilies of manhood.
Minister/Minister: Elders, what is your pleasure?
Elders: Minister, we have tested this candidate and have found him to be t for the journey of
manhood that lies ahead. We, therefore, a rm his movement from one clearly dened state
of existence to the next.
Minister: Congregaon, what is your pleasure?
Congregaon: As people of faith who understand the need for men commied to Christ,
Culture and Community in the village, we a rm this candidate as the new man he has become.
Minister: Parents, are you ready now to accept the fact that your boy has become a man and
to give him the respect and responsibilies that come with manhood?
Parents: We a rm that our son has become a man and will not hold back anything he has
earned in accord with that status.

Minister: Candidate(s), hearing these a rmaons made in the presence of God, do you now
accept the identy and responsibilies of manhood that have been conferred upon you by your
extended family?
Candidates: As I have put aside my childish ways, I accept the wisdom of my elders who have
guided me into manhood and I pledge to demonstrate with my heart, mind, soul and body that
I am the man you have recognized.
Minister: Prayer of A rmaon.

The Push Out!
Facts
In the 2008-09 school year, there were more than 40,000 students suspended and 600
students expelled from Chicago Public Schools.
Black males make up 23% of Chicago Public Schools students but 48% of suspensions
and 57% of expulsions.
This disparity mirrors the over representation of minorities in prisons and in jails.
In 2007 Chicago Public Schools adopted the Restorative Justice philosophy BUT only as a
voluntary option.
WHAT IS NEEDED IS FULL IMPLEMENTATION OF RESTORATIVE
PRACTICES IN OUR SCHOOLS AND COMMUNITY!
