Cricket commercialisation hurting other sports

In India cricket is the most popular game. Cricket becomes a religion for the fans, due to so much commercialisation and so much media attention. Commercialisation of cricket is good for the players and the youngsters because they are getting exposure to prove their game. It is good at some extent for cricket but its bad at all extents for other games. Country is loosing talents due to focus on only cricket. In cricket, players are playing continuously in test, ODI, IPL and other cricket tournament. Because of that their fitness is the matter of concern in big important games. They are getting more money for their lives but they dont have enough time to rest and regain physical fitness. Games, originated in India are left behind somewhere in the lime light of the cricket. Our national game hockey is continuously loosing interest as well as glory of the game. We won gold medal in 1928, when we played first time in Olympics games. Indian hockey team is the worlds most successful hockey team, won 8 gold, 1 silver and 2 bronze medal. But we barely heard news about hockey. Chess, polo, martial art, playing cards and badminton are originated in India itself. They all have lost in blaze of cricket. We have a glorious history in chess world championship with 4 times world champion vishwanathan anand, and also have 4-6 world junior championship. Every state in India is building cricket grounds so they can host a game in every 5 year. If they start spending money on other games, that money will be sufficient to support other games, which are on their death bad expecting some respect and recognition for rebirth in India. We have commercialised mans cricket but the history of female cricket is same as the other games in India or even worse. Indian female cricket team is playing continuously well in ODI and test cricket. They reached in world cup final (2005). All female game players have worse conditions than the man Players. They have talent but they dont have exposure. Sometimes they sacrifice for man players; we have many example of their scarification. In recent commonwealth games Indian players did well and India finished at 2nd position. In commonwealth games, shooters shot most of the gold. Every game should have same type of attention and facility for the players to competit at international level. We need to increase awareness about others games by print media, telly media and by the government of India. First of all govt. should start some nationalised games for them to motivate young players and to develop country wise talents. We need to come forward to save other games and to save life of our national game hockey. If the process is to be continued in future, India will be the country of only cricket. Every game will be history soon or latter due to so much ignorance. The backwardness in Indian origin games will lead us to read about them only in books. These games will be alien to their country of birth.
