Leader leads people inspires people as a motivator, facilitates of guides them as a coach & mentor. They set the tone, culture of an organization. Develop the strategies and make them deliverable. Manager gives direction, make sure the work is done, Management is process of communicating, coordinating, and accomplishing action in organizational objectives. Leadership is the process of directing, controlling, motivating and inspiring staff towards realization of stated organizational goals. Approaches of leadership: Charismatic leadership: emphasizes the mission, vision that promise a better life. Transactional leadership: initiating structure concern for production, task oriented themes of behavioral literature. Transformational leadership: concern and consideration for people and relations-oriented themes. Organizations characteristics: 1. Purpose, objectives, goals. 2. The action that occurs within organizations with be used to achieve purpose, objective 3. the actions will be consciously shaped through the organization design. 4. Key elements, in organizational design to structure, culture, communication process, human resources practice. 5. Changes will occur as organization revise their practices internally in light of experience 6. Much of what will be done in the organization will be future oriented. 7. Typically future oriented action will be systematically ordered in a hierarchy of actions 8. Actions will be assigned to roles; responsibilities will be defined for roles, experience 9. Actions will be change management or organization reforms. 10. Organizations are built on rules: rules provide to rationality, how thing have been done in the past, future. Rules protect us, they ensure rationality. Sensemaking attributes: Changing, retrospective, plausible, images, rationalize, people, doing.

Servant Leader: command and control S- servant, the leader is the servant of the network E- empowers, empowers participation in social and economics democracy R- recounter of stories, tells stories about the organization history, heroes, future V- visionary, leader without vision, reasoning goes, offer nothing, peoples hope vanish A- andgrogynous, no gender, must be able to speak in both male & female voices N- networker, manages the transformation and configuration of the diverse network of teams spanning suppliers to customers. T- team builders, mobilizes, leads, and dispatches a web of autonomous teams. Team is 2 or more people contracted together to achieve a goal. Group is people with responsibility and accountability for outcomes
