But the main question remains unanswered. How to deal with international terrorism? The answer could be many

UNO should take more proactive and aggressive steps. We need more stringent domestic and international laws. We need to coordinate between the police and military of all countries. We need to resort to international policing. We need to have dialogues with the terrorist outfits and persuade them to come into the main stream.

I strongly believe that the all above said options should be used simultaneously in varied proportions. Although, military attack as in Afghanistan and Iraq should be used as a last resort. Because, military action alone cannot bring permanent peace. Rather it promotes more retaliation. And, we have seen this. The best thing is that, UNO, today, has become more proactive and responsive in countering terrorism. It has started working on integrated anti-terrorism convention and making a comprehensive strategy. Moreover, UNO should also coordinate with other regional organisations like NATO, EU, and SAARC to counter terrorism because these blocks suffer seriously because ofinternational terrorism. Now, the world community is also becoming serious regarding terrorism as terrorism has become an omnipresent issue of every international summit. In addition, international leaders should take personal interest in holding dialogues with terrorist leaders and assure them a better peaceful and bright life if violence is done away with. If this method works, this will pave way for long lasting peace for humanity.
