We hope that the next two years would be an exhilarating journey for you. This is the start of a novel educational experience and a lifelong association with MDI. By choosing to be a part of the MDI tradition, you have not only chosen to step into the hallowed portals of one of Indias premier Bschools but have also opted for an arduous yet gratifying path to the pinnacle of a successful professional career.

SCHEDULED ON: 1st week of the Academic session (20th -26th June) FORMAT: Multiple choice questions (MCQ) with negative marking GRADING: The grading system outlined below would be adhered to while evaluating the answer scripts A+ A AB+ B B10 9 8 7 6 5 C+ C CD F I 4 3 2 1 Fail Incomplete

ACADEMIC SIGNIFICANCE: Besides evaluating a candidates eligibility for membership to various student driven clubs, events and committees, the test will be used for the academic evaluation of one credit SYLLABUS: Though no specific syllabus can be provided for the induction week test, the topics outlined below should be considered merely indicative of the breadth of subjects and fields covered. The topics also cover current business events and their impact on the economy. These topics are divided into five main themes, each covering a distinct field of study in management FINANCE & ECONOMICS:
1. Basic concepts in economics-demand& supply, elasticity, macroeconomic indicators, inflation, Market forms viz. Monopoly, Oligopoly, Perfect Competition, Monospony etc 2. Basics of financial markets
