ASSIGNMENT:
UNDERSTANDING THE SELF
Chapter 2 UNPACKING THE SELF: Lesson 1 Physical and Sexual Self
Defining Beauty
2. A beautiful person is
▪ A beautiful person has a decent heart; indeed, you may judge a person's beauty by their
physical appearance, but the true essence of beauty is revealed via the heart and
personality. The inside of a person, how you treat people, and having good manners all
contribute to their beauty.
3. I am beautiful
▪ I'm gorgeous because I'm one of God's most beautiful creatures. I am not as attractive
as others, particularly those who are older than me. Every everyone has their own
unique beauty, but what good is beauty if you don't have excellent manners? A person
with a positive attitude and decent manners is more attractive than someone who is
merely attractive on the outside.

Analysis
1. When do we usually observe the changes listed above for males and females?
▪ We normally notice the changes described above throughout our puberty stage, when
guys show a variety of changes, including a lower voice, a growing pubic, a growing
penis, and a more muscular body. Pubic hair causes the breasts to enlarge, the hips to
widen, the uterus and vagina to expand, and menstruation to occur in girls.
▪ My breasts began to develop in size, pubic hair began to sprout and extend to my hip,
and I began to menstruate at the same time as my peers.
3. If you were not able to experience the above listed changes, what might have caused such
difference?
▪ Yes, transgender plants affect our natural or innate sexual organ and sexual reaction.
Most gays, not only in the Philippines but around the world, choose for surgery to alter
their sexual organs. The truth is that just because you've changed everything doesn't
mean you'll be a true woman. Yes, you'll appear like a real lady, but you're still a male in
God's eyes, a man created to be coupled with a woman. God only made a man and a
woman; it was a major sin for you to be able to alter his creation; you must be content
with what God provides.
