APOLLO 13: CRISIS MANAGEMENT

INTRODUCTION
A crisis is a major, unpredictable event that threatens to harm an organization and its stakeholders. No corporation looks forward to facing a situation that causes a significant disruption to their business. Successfully diffusing a crisis requires an understanding of how to handle a crisis before it occurs. Crisis management consists of methods used to respond to both the reality and perception of crises such as a Crisis Management Plan. It consists of the communication that occurs within the response phase of emergency management scenarios. Apollo 13 can be considered as the most successful failure of the mankind. Based on the true story, the spacecraft was on its way to the moon when disaster strikes. The spacecraft faced a series of serious problems which requires crisis management skills to survive. This Masterclass will provide a simulation based on the movie Apollo 13 to help leaders and managers to see how crisis can be managed and relate it back to workplace.
