One day, as Moses was out walking, he was shocked to see a small bush burst into flame. Then the voice of God spoke to Moses out of the bush! Moses, I have chosen you for a very special and important mission. I want you to go back to Egypt and tell Pharaoh to let My people go. I will be with you, and I will tell you what to say, God promised Moses.

When Moses arrived in Pharaohs court, Pharaoh was shocked. What are you doing here? he thundered. I have been sent by God, Moses replied. He wants you to let the Israelites leave Egypt! I will never let my slaves go! Pharaoh laughed. I will do whatever I want. Pharaoh would not listen, so God sent plagues upon him and his country. The water turned into blood! Millions of frogs started hopping all over the place! Flies buzzed everywhere! Locusts ate up all the crops!

Pharaoh had sent his soldiers to bring the Israelites back to Egypt to be slaves again. The Israelites escaped from Pharaohs soldiers, and went on to find their new home the Promised Land.

La gente no saba qu hacer. Delante estaba el Mar Rojo. No haba forma de escapar. Qu hacemos? geman.
