An introduction to ClickMillions Chapter 3 Find it

The number of expired domains

At this point you may be asking yourself how many domains expire or drop every day? You may be surprised by the answer: ClickMillions Secret Over 100 million domain names expire and are not renewed every year. Over 100 million domain names expire every year around the world and are not renewed, and that number is growing! In fact, its predicted that the number of expired domains will increase to 250 million by 2015! Domestically alone there are around 100,000 domain names that drop away every single day. The number is staggering because it means that out of the thousands of domain names that expire daily, there are many domains previously pointed to websites that are still attracting visitors this very minute!

The shocking secret

All of this may sound great, and by now you may be thinking to yourself all I have to do is find the right domain name from the 100,000+ domains that expire every day and I can start making money. Before you jump in however, you need to know this very important and shocking ClickMillions secret: ClickMillions Secret No one knows for certain which expired domains will make money. What? You mean there is no way to know for sure which domains will make money?

- Part 2 of 4: Page 4 - Copyright 2010-2011 Millions Forever LLC All Rights Reserved -

Yes, its a very true statement, but before you toss the book, hang with me for a few minutes! The problem everyone within this industry faces is locating the right expired domains despite a lack of accuracy. There is no single source, website or method existing today that will guarantee which expired domains are going to make money on an ongoing basis. In fact, if you come across someone that guarantees it, they wont be telling the truth.

The solution

So what can you do? How do you find the gems and skip the dirt? We share the answer in this important ClickMillions secret: ClickMillions Secret Finding expired domains with ongoing revenue is a two-step process. There are two steps involved with finding domains using the ClickMillions program: 1. Millions Report Card After three years of intense research involving the testing of over 7,000 expired domains, the ClickMillions program has developed a product called the Millions Report card. Every night ClickMillions scans all domains expiring over the next several days and performs an intense analysis involving multiple websites, formulas, deep link checking, process of elimination and proprietary scoring algorithms to predict which ones have the potential for ongoing traffic, and which do not. Based on these results, the domains are graded A, B, C or discarded. Just like your school report card, the ones that have the best potential are graded A, the next set of potential domains are graded B and so on. ClickMillions members will have access to these pre-selected domains, allowing them to focus only on those that have the potential for continued traffic, automatically driving visitors and generating money when visitors click on a link. 2. Millions DashBoard In order to understand what else you need to do to qualify a domain, we need to uncover this important ClickMillions secret:

ClickMillions Secret Qualifying a domain involves the investigation of multiple clues. Once you narrow down, based on the Millions Report card, the number of domains , the next step is to decide which domains would be worth considering for the next step in the ClickMillions success cycle (bid it). As we already said, there is no individual website or method that will tell you exactly which domains will guarantee you income in other words, not every domain is an ATM Cash Machine. This is actually a big advantage to you as a home business entrepreneur. Since no one individual tool can guarantee traffic, applying multiple tools is a big advantage to you because it levels the playing field. Now anyone can perform the proper research and make a calculated decision on which domains to purchase. In other words, there isnt a big conglomerate or company that is swooping in and taking all the great domains as soon as they drop. This leaves many potential traffic domains available for anyone to purchase if they know how. So how do you find out which ones have potential? The best domains are discovered by looking at multiple tools at the same time thats what the Millions Dashboard does, putting all the research tools and methods on the same page. To summarize, the Millions Report card narrows the 100,000+ domains down to a manageable number by grade; the Millions Report card gives you all of the tools you need in one location for doing the final investigation on the pre-selected domains. Its no different than detective work. A crime scene may not point out the suspect directly, but there will be clues left behind. Collecting and interpreting the clues will eventually allow the detective to connect the dots and solve the crime. The more clues that you can discover and interpret, the greater your chance for success. The ClickMillions program will show you how to interpret all of the clues to help you decide which domains have the best potential to make you money.

An Introduction to ClickMillions Chapter 4 Bid it

Once you learn how to find the right domains the ClickMillions way, youll be ready to purchase domain names that meet your criteria. All you have to do is use the ClickMillions tools to figure out which expired domains have the right kind of traffic, and you just register them, right? Unfortunately, Im going to let you in on another little secret - it doesnt work that way!

Drop catching

The reality is that you wont be able to register good traffic domains on your own when they become available. The way it actually works is firms called drop catchers scan daily lists of domains that are in the process of expiration. The biggest drop catchers use thousands of web servers every day to capture domain names that others might be interested in. If they catch the name, it goes to an auction and the highest bidder will get to register it. Not all domains work this way, but most domains that have any type of parking revenue potential do. For purposes of discussion we will call the largest drop catchers Domain Auction Houses.

Domain auction houses

Domain auction houses actually get most of their inventory from expired domains and private parties. Expired domains reach different levels of expiration, and certain auction houses have exclusive rights to sell domains even before they actually drop, so not every auction house is the same. Well cover the different types of expirations (such as waiting periods, pre-release, pending-delete and so on) in the ClickMillions program, but for now, you should understand that some auction houses provide certain advantages over others.

Like auction sites such as eBay, you will be selecting names on which you wish to bid and carry out the bidding process to win a domain. The process works a little differently from eBays process, because domain auction houses follow a specialized method called Proxy Bid Extended Auctions. Well cover all of this in the ClickMillions program. There are several large auction houses that sell expired domain names. The ClickMillions program will give you step-by-step instructions on how to bid at each of the major houses, and even give you special tips that will allow you to gain advantage over other bidders.

Domain names to avoid

Before you try to start bidding on domains on your own, I want to point out that there are certain expired domain names that you will want to avoid. There are many reasons to stay away from certain domains. These domains either detract from your ability to maximize profits or are downright illegal. Additionally, parking companies have restrictions on the types of domain names that can be parked because they have strict agreements with sponsored ad providers. There is nothing worse than purchasing a domain name, parking it and finding out that the domain is later rejected or discovered to be illegal. Avoid getting into a bad situation by understanding the domains to avoid. One of the domain types to stay away from is trademarks. In fact, this is the Number 1 type of domain to avoid. A trademark is a word, symbol, brand or phrase that distinctly indicates the ownership of a product or service, legally reserved for the exclusive use of the owner. Famous names such as those of celebrities are also included in this category. If the trademark word or phrase is a part of a domain name, stay away from it! Even a typographic misspelling of the trademark can still get you into trouble. For example, miccrosoft.com is still considered a trademark to microsoft.com. Any of these situations can result in trademark infringement. Warning! Trademark infringement can result in penalties ranging from losing the domain all the way up to losing thousands of dollars in a civil lawsuit! There are several other types of domains to avoid and the ClickMillions program gives you all of the rules to follow to avoid legal issues and maximize revenue.

Domain registration

After you win a domain name through auction, there are several steps to follow in order to secure it and manage it properly. Most of the steps involve domain registrars.

- Part 2 of 4: Page 8 - Copyright 2010-2011 Millions Forever LLC All Rights Reserved -

A domain registrar manages your domain name and handles the administration of domain registries, which in turn are managed by an international organization called ICANN. There are many domain registrars in existence today and unfortunately there is no consistent standard on how to use them. Its critical to know how the major ones workhow to navigate through them and how to manage your domain. Failing to master these tasks could risk you losing control of your domain even after winning it at auction. The ClickMillions program will teach you more about the process of transferring expired domains to your account and how to manage the major registrars.

Next steps

Now that you have a general understanding of domain auctions and securing domains through registration, its time to park them, which well cover in the next chapter.
