To Whom It May Concern:

I am very pleased to recommend for your consideration, Ms. Kascy Tcxtor for a teaching
position in your district. Ms. Tcxtor was a University of Michigan Hlcmcntary Masters
and Certification Program (IiLMAC) student in my classroom at Bach 1 Elementary from
September 2010 to May 2011.

Ms. Tcxtor came to my classroom and quickly demonstrated that she was an invaluable
resource to the students and a leader within the classroom. During her internship, she-
was the lead teacher for many classroom lessons. She showed a willingness to go above
and beyond to enhance lessons by sharing her personal experiences and obtaining
additional resources to help students learn and retain information. Ms. Tcxtor learned the
curriculum and demonstrated an in-depth understanding of the goals and objectives. Her
work at the University of Michigan clearly prepared her for the rigorous demands of the
Ann Arbor Public School's curriculum.

While Ms. Tcxtor worked in my third grade classroom, it was often necessary to work
collaborativcly with other teachers and professionals in the school. My classroom has
several students that receive additional support from resource room teachers. Ms. Tcxtor
gained valuable experience learning to differentiate instruction for all students but in
particular special needs students. She also gained experience in maintaining schedules,
attending to details, and developing strong communication with colleagues, students and
parents, to promote the success of all students.

By the end of the school year. Ms. Textor had become very skilled in the often-difficult
task of integrating technology across the curriculum. She enhanced a developed social
studies unit and enriched the lessons by having students keep a weekly journal. These
journal entries were written from the perspective of either a French explorer or a Native
American in early Michigan history. At the conclusion of each lesson these journal
entries were used as an assessment of each student's comprehension. However, Ms.
Tcxtor continued to demonstrate her skill fulness with technology by having each student
design and create an avatar that brought each student's journal entry to life.

I feel that Ms. Textor will be a valuable asset to any school community. Please feel free
to contact me at (734) 829-8390 with any further questions.

Sincerely,

Tamala Bell
Third Grade Teacher
