2006-2010:
I have recently attended Edmonds Community College accumulating most of the cred
its required for an A.T.A in Construction Management. Much of what I have learne
d pertains to advancing my computer skills including construction related progra
ms. I have also earned a Home Inspection/Codes Certificate.
1974-1999:
After competing high school I attended trade courses at Shasta College (Redding
Ca.) including, Advanced Blueprint interpretation, Metal Fabrication i.e. Plasma
cutting,-Mig, Tig, Gas & Arc "Stick" welding. Through the years I have also acq
uired several Construction related Licenses and certifications.
1970-1974:
Graduated from Central Valley High School in 1974 where I took advantage of eve
ry trade course available including: Wood Shop, Carpentry, Auto Mechanics & Meta
l Fabrication. I also gained a wealth of experience prior to and during high sch
ool by working with my Father in our family owned Custom Metal Fabrication busin
ess.

Work History:
2002- (Confidential) Large area contractor. Lead Supervisor, remodeling, additio
ns and repairs, production, assessments, bidding, consulting, design inspection
, Quality Control.
1999-2002:
Self Employed Contractor "Re-construction" Kirkland Washington. Remodeling, reno
vation, repairs, inspection, consulting, and custom design.
1992-1999:
Self Employed Contractor "Richard Loyd Construction" Newport Oregon. Remodeling
and Additions, custom design, land use and remodeling consultation. project mana
gement, land development, plan approvals, permits, etc. Concept to completion.
1985-1991:
"Cascade Container and Fabrication" Ridgefield Washington. Hydraulic Machinery
Design & Fabrication. Shop supervisor, parts department director, development an
d design of hydraulic equipment, production management, screening and training o
f new employees.
1976-1975:
"Carpenters local 1715" Vancouver Washington. Journeyman Carpenter, Lead Carpent
er, Certified Structural welder. From commercial building of all types to remode
ling and finish carpentry.
1974 -1976:
