Directly supported a diverse group that included the Executive VP plus VP of New
Business/Mobile Media, VP Financial Planning, VP Operations, and four other fin
ancial staff members. In addition, served as backup to the Executive Assistant
to the President, Playboy Media Group. The Playboy Media Group is a $300 millio
n amalgamation of Publishing, Television, Film Home Entertainment, Online Media,
and Mobile Media.
In this capacity, I was responsible for all day-to-day administrative functions
to keep the office running, including establishing workplace systems, setting pr
iorities, independently managing the schedules of all the individuals for whom I
worked, planning and executing special events and meetings, maintaining communi
cation, correspondence, and financial data, preparing and editing presentations
(especially financial information), and serving as the first point of communicat
ion for these executives with the public.
Financial Planning involves long hours and tight timetables, and I frequently wo
rked flexible hours to accommodate the needs of my group and to quickly update a
nd edit materials as changes were made by the staff.
In addition, the Executive VP is Board Chair of the Glassell Park Chamber of Com
merce, Treasurer of the Entertainment AIDS Alliance, and Co-Chair of the Ambassa
dor Council of AIDS Project Los Angeles. I have volunteered to support each of
these organizations along with my supervisor, giving me further experience in ev
ents, fundraising, database management, scheduling, and group communication.
My position was terminated in 10/2008 in a large-scale cutback of Playboyas Los
Angeles operations.
