other nurses with fresh open heart patients and second day open heart patients.
I performed evidenced based practice nursing in the care and treatment of patien
ts intermittently on ventilators, multiple drips, central venous lines, arterial
lines, pacemakers and chest tubes. Many patients were diagnosed with multi-syst
ems failure, Sepsis, pneumonia, critical heart conditions and other less critica
l diagnoses. I assisted physicians in advanced procedures including placement of
chest tubes, central lines, intubation at bedside and administered conscious se
dation with physician at bedside. I floated to ER and step-down units.
