PROJECT DETAILS

Title: Ac voltage regulator using auto T/F reversible synchronous motor with triac
driven using microcontroller
Environment: Electrical Machines, Power Electronics and Microcontrollers.
Role: Leader.
Team Size: 4 members.
Responsibility: I studied about the total project components and its description and
guided my team members .
Description: The concept of the project is to regulate ac voltage around the predefined
setting here the auto t/f is mechanically coupled with reversible sync motor rotated in two
directions the i/p of auto t/f is 230v the limits can be varied frm 180 to 270v if the motor
is rotated in clock ward direction the o/p voltage increased if the motor is rotated in
reverse direction the o/p voltage is decreased the motar has 3 wires from that one is
neutral reaming are phases .these are driven by 2 triacs the traic is driven by mc via
isolated pulse t/f the project is constructed with a popular mc mcs51 series at89c52 A2D
converter adc0809,lcd display,tiarcs voltage t/f etc
