Present Position: Contract Interpreter of French, German and Russian. Since 1970
, most assignments in these three languages have been with the Office of Languag
e Services, U.S. Department of State. I also accept and continue to be intereste
d in assignments and contractual relations with other organizations, a small sam

Official Maryland State Translator of French, German and Russian and Certified M
aryland Court Interpreter, since 2007.
Lionbridge (formerly Berlitz) certified Russian, French, and German Interpreter
in U.S. Immigration Courts in Baltimore, Md., and Arlington, Va., and elsewhere
since 1999 until the present.
Interpreter for Washington, DC, Superior Court, 1998 to present.
Language Line Interpreter in Russian, French, and German since 1990, until the p
resent. By far the world's largest telephone interpretation operation, formerly
called AT&T Language Line.

AWARDS:
The first National Council for Community Services to International Visitors (COS
ERV) Award of Appreciation as Escort-Interpreter of the Year. Presented on April
5, 1978, and accepted on my behalf by Mr. Donald F. Barnes, Chief, Interpreting
Branch, Office of Language Services, U.S. Department of State.
The award certificate states that the award was granted-"for his sensitive under
standing of his special role of middle man
between the visitor and volunteer; for his ability to interpret the United State
s far beyond the requirements of language alone; and for his steadfast commitmen
t to the ideals of his profession."
