Designed and developed a software application that successfully integrated the S
ocial Development Fund's Management System with ACCPAC accounting software using
VB 6.0 and MSSQL 2000. The application added value to the organisation by allow
ing the transfer of financial data between both systems and reducing manual data
entry.
Researched, selected and project managed the installation of an 800KV UPS unit t
o meet company network power requirements.
In addition, I also developed bespoke internal database applications using MSSQL
2000 and Access 2000; designed management reports using Crystal Reports 8.0 for

Project managed planned business equipment modernisation roll-out throughout the
organisation and supervising three (3) technology team members. My direct role
was to research, budget and provide recommendations to the director for the purc
hase of nearly fifty (50) desktop computers, two (2) additional rack mountable s
ervers, 2x 36 port 3Com network switches, re-cabling of the network room and 2 s
erver/switch rack cabinets.
My daily responsibility as a senior member was to maintain the LAN TCP/IP networ
k infrastructure, troubleshooting network issues and ensuring high network avail
ability for clients. I managed 3x MS Server 2000, 2x MSSQL Server 2000, Lotus 5.
0 email server, IIS 5.0 and an IBM AIX RS6000 server. I have hands on knowledge
of installation and configuration, user profile creation, security privilege ass
ignment. In addition I was responsible for network backup and scheduling.
