PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
2008-PRESENT - COMMANDER, Air Force ROTC Detachment 905-Washington State Univers
ity / University of Idaho
Commander/Chairman of Department of Aerospace Studies tasked to oversee,
develop, and streamline daily operations of an AFROTC unit that administers a c
ollege-level officer training and leadership development program. Designated sen
ior Air Force officer at geographically separated unit. Responsible for success
ful execution of annual budget greater than $700K.
2007-2008 - COMMANDER, Ali Air Base & Commander, 407th Air Expeditionary Group,
Iraq
Led over 1200 deployed Airmen, 8 squadrons, $17M budget, and over 700 MQ
-1 Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) combat sorties; directed multiple post-enemy at
tack responses for installation resulting in improved security for more than 10,
000 coalition personnel in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
2006-2008 - COMMANDER, 15th Mission Support Group, 15th Airlift Wing-Hickam Air
Force Base, HI
Led over 2,500 Air Force and civilian personnel assigned to seven Squadr
ons and Wake Island tasked to provide base operating support for the 15th Airlif
t Wing and partner units on Hickam Air Force Base. Oversaw and directed all func
tions of a 2,530-acre unit with 1242 facilities and a base population of 15,155
people + 67 units in four countries. Responsible for successful execution of an
annual budget greater than $30M.
2004-2006 - COMMANDER , 56th Air and Space Plans Squadron / Chief-Combat Plans D
ivision, Pacific Air and Space Operations Center (PAOC), 13th Air Force, Hickam
Air Force Base, HI
Led 50 personnel in The Strategy and Plans Divisions of the Pacific Air
Operations Center, the command and control hub for all airpower operations in th
e entire pacific region. Responsible for all air, space, and information campaig
n planning in support of the Commander, Pacific Air Forces, and the Commander, U
S Pacific Command.
2001-2004 - DEPUTY, Plans & Policy Directorate, HQ Alaskan Command, Elmendorf Ai
r Force Base, Alaska
Directed civilian and military planners in preparation, coordination and
maintenance of Operations and Concept Plans in support of US Pacific Command, U
S Northern Command and Alaskan Command. Formulated military objectives and forc
e deployment planning. Conducted in-depth research, joint policy analysis and p
repared long-range strategic plans. Provided oversight of extensive foreign mil
itary contact program supporting National Military Engagement strategy.
