Application for Employment

Wesley Physician Services is the administration office for a large number of We


sley Medical Center's employed physicians and their clinics. In other words, we
are the "Physician side of the hospital." In addition to administration and mana
gement of the clinics and their staff our office is also the centralized billing
office for the clinics. I was hired to fill a position with responsibilities co
mbining both executive assistant and accounting assistant duties.
When starting in this position, our division worked with eight clinics and fift
een physicians at various locations. Now, Wesley Physician Services works with f
ourteen clinics and twenty seven physicians. All of Wesley Medical Center was bo
ught out a couple of years ago and of course undergone many changes which are mo
re frequent even now. However, our division now has the seventh new administrato
r in five years. The addition of all the new clinics, physicians and staff has c
reated an ever increasing volume of accounting requirements. I can and have perf
ormed these duties in an accomplished manner. However, I am not currently able t
o utilize other skills and knowledge that I have worked to achieve.
**In addition to the above employment, I have worked self employed in home remo
deling. Previous employment includes retail, office management, cash audit, com
munications, merchandising and even receiving/shipping. I have also worked with
companies specializing in oil and gas products.
Education
Business Administration/Office Systems Technology Associate Degree with special
interest in Accounting and Executive Administrative Support. I returned to schoo
l as a non-traditional student and graduated with Special Honors from Pearl Rive
r Community College, Poplarville, MS, May 1995. I have since then taken courses
in Graphic/Digital Design online with the Art Institute of Pittsburg.

**NOTE: As of today, 11/8/2010, Wesley-Pacific Physician Services has been clo


sed as a separate entity and absorbed back into Wesley Medical Center. The staff
has been laid off. Due to this change, I would be ready to begin work immediate
ly. Alternate shifts or locations would also be welcomed. Most of my background
is in Finance, Audit, Clerical and Human Resources, but I would welcome offers i
n other fields of employment.

Responsibilities:
a In charge of all Accounts Payable duties -verify, reconcile and process invoic
ing from vendors for our office, our physicians and all the separate clinics.
a Monitor contracts of physicians, pharmaceutical vendors, property and leases,
service providers and staff agreements. I have security clearance to view both c
ontracts on the physician level as well as the hospital level.
a Validate and process documents concerning the licensing, memberships, dues and
other needs of our physicians.
a Prepare direct media including brochures, newsletters and announcements
a Screen travel expense reimbursements and prepare necessary documents to submit
to the hospital's CFO and then CEO for approval. Then process these vouchers fo
r payment.
