Title : AU & CAI - Risk Datamart Integration


Client : Aramark Uniform & Career Apparel Inc. (Boston, USA)
Role : ETL Developer.

Description:

ARAMARK Uniform and Career Apparel (AUCA) group is a division of the ARAMARK
Corporation, the second largest Management Services Company in the U.S. It manages a
wide variety of workplace clothing services from the design and direct marketing of uniforms,
casual attire through catalogs, mail order etc. to the regular and laundering of work clothes.
Headquartered in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, AUCA has three lines of business:

Responsibilities:

• Developed extraction mappings to load data from Source systems to ODS to Data
Warehouse.
• Developed mappings in Informatica to load the data from various sources using different
transformations like Source Qualifier, Look up (connected and unconnected),
Expression, Aggregate, Update Strategy, Sequence Generator, Joiner, Filter, Update
Strategy Rank and Router transformations. .
• Executed sessions, both sequential and concurrent for efficient execution of mappings
and used other tasks like event wait, event raise, email, command and pre/post SQL.
• Used session partitions, dynamic cache memory, and index cache to improve the
performance. .
• Designed and Developed the Informatica workflows/sessions to extract, transform and
load the data into Target. .
• Developed procedures to populate the customer data warehouse with transaction data,
cycle and monthly summary data, and historical data.
• Optimize SQL queries for better performance.
• Worked with different Informatica tuning issues and fine-tuned the transformations to

transportation, energy for heat and light, retail services and petrochemicals products for
everyday items .BP produces 3.9 million barrels of oil equivalent per day of oil and gas for
customers across the world.BP Ultimate, premium automotive fuel that delivers improved
engine performance and reduces pollution, is now available in 15 markets around the world -
including Russia

Aim of this project is to implementing ‘IS RETAIL at the RETAIL operations Head offices’ in the
respective geographic covering all merchandising and Finance function.This will replace their
current legacy head office systems.

Responsibilities:

• Understand the business requirement specifications provided by the client and translate
them into ETL design specification, load the data into Dwh.
• Used and worked on different transformations like expression, Aggregator, router, Filter,
Lookup, update strategy and Normalizer transformations.

Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce(CIBC) is a leading North American financial institution


comprising three strategic business lines that provide financial services to more than nine
million customers, including retail and small business banking customers as well as corporate
and investment banking customers. The development of data warehouse is inextricably linked
to the business needs of an enterprise. Bank has a need for an analytical data warehouse to
improve the decision-making. Bank is in business since 1975 and they are having number of
branches operating in various parts of the country. Like every (international) fast growing
banks this bank is also searching for new business avenues, wants to increase the customer
base and attract more investment. So far the bank is using the traditional banking practices for
its functioning and using the various media for promoting the various schemes. By using the
Information technology for making better business strategies and decisions, this bank wants to
have an edge over its competitors.

Responsibilities:

• Team Member Worked on Informatica tool –Source Analyzer, Data warehousing


designer, Mapping Designer and Transformations developer.
• Involved in ETL documentation

• Developed various mappings to load data from various sources using different
transformations like Aggregator, Lookup, Update Strategy and Sequence Generator and
Expression to store the data in different target tables.
