PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Plan and coordinate meetings with internal and external government customers to
measure goal achievement and determine areas needing cost reduction and improvem
ent. Deliver informative presentations gathered within several areas of the depa
rtment toward fulfillment of goals. Review drawings / engineering notes and appl
y appropriate clauses to enforce quality restrictions.
Notable Achievements:
- Rendered high-level of assistance in developing a new initiative within
the department called a Deep Dive
- Served as significant contributor in performing defect and corrective ac
tion analysis on defective hardware and making assessments of data findings
- Honored multiple times as the “Employee of the Quarter†through demonstration of
exemplary performance
- Primarily responsible for processing purchase requisitions with quality
codes to keep the backlog at 0, approximately 500 a month
- Played an integral role as part of the team responsible in identifying s
uppliers that lead the supplier base in non-conformances; performed defect analy
sis on the non-conforming hardware
PROJECT ENGINEER INTERN - US ENGINEERING, LOVELAND, CO AND LARAMIE, WY 2008
Maintained the complete set of plans from the general contractor while at each l
ocation. Wrote equipment manuals for the mechanical portion of the project in De
nver, which included e-mailing and calling suppliers to get equipment manuals as
well as startup and maintenance data as part of contract obligations. Convened
with the senior project engineer in Laramie regarding scheduling and cost analys
is. Assisted in deliveries of large equipment and hardware based on discussions
with the field workers to ensure timely completion of the project.
Notable Achievements:
- Worked closely with two senior project managers, one in Denver, Colorado
on the Denver Detention center and one in Laramie, Wyoming working on the expan
sion of the College of Business building
- Instrumental in completing take-offs of equipment and ordering materials
for the jobsite
AUTOCAD TECHNICIAN III - JFC ENGINEERS & SURVEYORS, ROCK SPRINGS, WY 2005–2007
Functioned as a draftsman responsible for drawing oil and gas drilling pads from
surveyor data files. Worked from surveyor notes and a point file to create a th
ree-dimensional layout of the terrain and determine the optimal fit for the pad.
Optimal fit included minimizing cuts and fills for the construction team and wo
rking with the land to avoid drainages and other natural challenges.
Notable Achievements:
- Collaborated with several companies in Southwest Wyoming for the design
of oil and gas pads in the Jonah Field
- Expertly managed one company and completed all necessary design, dirt ba
lancing, and drafting
- Gained significant experience in the gas fields by working with surveyor
s on pad and pipeline layouts
