How Weather
Forecasts are
Assembled
Many people often ask me about the weather and wonder why our
forecasts can be right one day and maybe not so accurate another
(We’re not off that much - lol). This can all be attributed to com-
puter models and a constantly changing atmosphere.
All weather forecasts begin with observations of what the weather is doing all over the
world. These observations are then fed into super computers that use mathematical models of
the atmosphere to make predictions In the United States. These computers are operated by
the National Weather Service. The resulting forecasts are used by all weather forecasters,

Busch: media thrashes drivers
Kurt Busch’s car-to-crew communications in recent weeks have included some
sharp criticism of his team. In saying that those tirades have come to an end, he
included some criticism of the NASCAR media corps.
“I always laugh and listen to you [media] guys contradict yourselves because
you say that you want us to be more colorful, but all that you want to do to a
driver is just thrash them when they show personality,” he said. “That’s what I’m
going through with this radio, and from now on, there’s not going to be anything
on it except solid team communication, because that’s all there needs to be.”
