Executive Director 1997-2002
Competently managed five community programs, providing service to approximately
500 residents with a budget of $275K as well as a new 9,600 sq. ft. community ce
nter with $800K construction grant award from United Neighborhood Centers Associ
ation. Performed HR tasks such as interviewing, hiring, supervising, evaluating
personnel, and managing disciplinary actions as well as preparing payroll for 8
employees and managing payroll budget of $140K.
- Played a pivotal role in increasing revenue by 54.5% in 2.5 year period
along with planning more than 12 annual events per year supported by contributio
ns, good-will gifts, and volunteer efforts raising an average of $45K per year
- Instrumental in the development of policies and procedures for programs
to meet standards for licensing, daycare, adult care programs, recreation, and f
ood services as well as public relations and marketing strategies
- Successfully negotiated contracts with collaborative organizations to ex
pand community service networks and resources
- Spearheaded 45-home neighborhood revitalization construction project as
well as resource development including local and state funding totaling $150K, b
