2004 - Present The Landings Association, Inc.
Construction Coordinator responsible for major projects in road and drainage con
struction/repair, cart path construction/repair, marina repairs and major sea wa
ll construction. Preparation of bid packages and management of field contractors
ensuring that all projects are completed to specification, on time and within b
udget.
1998 - 2004 Beers Skanska Construction Co., Inc.
Senior Project Mgr/MEP Coordinator responsible for coordination all Mechanical,
Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Protection, Fire alarm, Elevator and Escalator subcon
tracts. Projects included Stadiums, Hospitals, Performing Art Centers, Universit
y facilities and Trade centers. Responsibilities included generating documentati
on, coordination between the Owner and Architect Design Team relative to MEP act
ivities with the projects to ensure that the installation met or exceeded all co
ntractual requirements. Additional responsible for interfacing with state and lo
cal inspectors, fire marshals and obtaining all building TCO's and CO's.
1997 - 1998 Self Employed, Memphis TN
Contract engineer for Griff C. Burr and Associates, Memphis, TN. Responsibilitie
s included the HVAC design of a high rise hotel (600+) rooms for the Circus - Ci
rcus Hotel and Casino in Tunica, Mississippi.
1989 - 1997 D.M. Morrin Co., Reno, Nevada
Chief Engineer/Estimator responsible for mechanical engineering HVAC design and
bid proposal estimates for residential and commercial structures. Projects inclu
ded: residential homes, gambling casinos, hospitals and military facilities.
1987 - 1989 Flakt Inc., Knoxville, TN
Project Manager responsible for the engineering and construction of Centex Ameri
can Gypsum Company's $20 Million gypsum board plant located in Albuquerque, New
Mexico. This project included state of the art design of all plant equipment, en
vironmental control and computer control start-up of an entirely new facility.
1975 - 1987 Gilbert/Commonwealth Inc., Jackson Michigan
(1985 - 1987) Project Manager for the Electric Power Research facility Institu
te's High Sulfur Test Center. Directed engineering, des
ign, procurement, expedition and construction of this $21 million research a
nd development facility in New York State.
Accomplishments
* Reconstructed client's original budget (which was overrun by $11 million). D
irected the project team in redesign efforts which brought the project bud
get to within acceptable limits.
*Negotiated 39 major client project changes increas
ing my company's revenues over five fold.
* Managed and motivated project team to meet all project milestones and sched
ule dates despite many client direct changes in the project s
cope.
Engineering Award:
* N.S.P.E. Outstanding engineering achievement for
1987.
(1980 - 1985) Deputy Project Manager and later Project Manager for the W.H. Sa
mmis Air Quality control
project for the Ohio Edison Company. This $450 mill
ion project was projected to be $200 million
over budget and had no clearly defined schedule to
achieve EPA mandated completion dates.
Accomplishments:
* Implemented a project control system based on a 7
,500 activity network which integrated the schedule and cost control of a
ll phases of the project including client, engineering, contractor a vendo
r input.
* Directed all procurement and expediting activitie
s affecting the arrival of equipment and
materials on schedule.
* By the end of the second year, the project was ba
ck on schedule and within budget.
* This project was completed $40 million under budg
et and all 36 project milestone and start-up
dates were met or bettered.

* MSPE Professional Engineers in construction, 1985
outstanding engineering achievement award.
