Page 1 Neighbourhood Watch/Crime Reports

Thankfully we have not received any reports of crime in this area this month. Hopefully that is because
there hasn’t been any or maybe they haven’t been sent to the News. I hope it’s the former!! (Ed)

Policing the Future An Invitation to Meet the Chairman of the Police Authority and the Chief Constable
Policing is facing a period of great change. The current unprecedented financial situation means that, inevitably, some police
services will be delivered differently. Within the next twelve months, the Government is proposing to abolish Police
Authorities and replace them with directly elected Police and Crime Commissioners. Despite the challenges posed by this
new landscape both the Police Authority and the Constabulary remain focused on further improvement of the policing services
provided for the people and businesses of Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland.
We are holding a number of events to give you the opportunity to hear how we are proposing to tackle the challenges ahead.
Each event starts at 6.30pm (light refreshments from 6.00pm) and will finish by 8.30pm. The dates and venues are as follows:
June 2011 Rutland County Council, Catmose, Oakham, Rutland, LE15 6HP
Monday 27 June 2011 Town Hall, Town Hall Square, Leicester, LE1 9BG
Thursday 14 July 2011 Police Headquarters, St Johns, Enderby, Leicester, LE19 2BX
If you would like to come along, simply call us on 0116 229 8986 or e-mail us at police.authority@leicestershire.pnn.police.uk
providing your name, a contact number and your venue of choice. For your convenience, please let us know if you have any
special requirements such as an induction loop or disabled access.
If you have information on any criminal activity call Market Harborough Police on 0116 222 2222.

The Belgrave Village Hall

Easy to erect-two men in two hours claimed the
company!! Three men, six and a half hours later the
shed was finally upright, even though we had two
pieces left over!! Thanks to Peter Lawrence and Nick
(I'm not a DIY fan) Hardwick and to Peter Begley for
laying the slab base two weeks earlier. The contents
of the broken shed can now be properly stored and
Peter Jones request to have the old shed for the
Millennium Green BBQ can be granted.
The AGM will be on Tuesday 7th June in the village hall
at 7.30 - all welcome -
it would be good to see some new faces.
For hall bookings please contact Tracy Allen 881733
