tors and stairwells. Project budget was $1.2 Mil and was completed under budget
and ahead of schedule. Wireless infrastructure included:
365 1130 Cisco APs.
8 Cisco 4400 controllers.
Coverage to support 528 KPHC wireless carts.
Coverage to support in excess of 800 Vocera badges.

Kern County
Health Connect Ambulatory Track. Completed hardwired network infrastructure ana
lysis, site walks, infrastructure implementation, site readiness walks, and depl
oyment of 324 PCs.
LAMC
Health Connect Wireless Remediation. Completed hardwired network infrastructure
analysis, site walks, site readiness walks and remediation for both Inpatient
phase 1 (IP1) and Inpatient phase 2 ( IP2) expansion.
Health Connect IP2 Wireless Track. Completed wireless network infrastructure an
alysis, site walks infrastructure implementation, site readiness walks and deplo
yment of 227 Carts.
Health Connect IP2 Wireless Expansion. Completed wireless network infrastructur

(DMD) Desktop Medicine Deployment Project
Responsibilities included the assignment to specific service areas: Woodland Hil
ls, Panorama City and Kern County. For the consolidation of the Health Connect,
Refresh and MWI, initiatives into the DMD Project. This included project develop
ment, budget tracking and budget management for the multiple initiatives. Health
Connect included both wired and wireless initiatives from planning to go-live i
ncluding infrastructure. MWI included the remaining XD conversions for the works
tations including NUID conversions and printer conversions to the Kaiser CS Doma
in. Refresh included End of Life (EOL) End of Term (EOT) and End of Lease (EOL)
for systems that did not meet the minimum hardware requirements or were at the e
nd of the lease term. This involved working within the different Kaiser departme
nts as well as outside contracting agencies.
NOPS / EDS Project Manager
(MWI) Managed WorkStation Initiative
Responsibilities included application, workstation, server and asset discovery.
Deployment at 18 locations for the Riverside service area. With over 2000 workst
ations and 200 refresh workstations. For the purpose of a standardized workstati
on environment with remote software distribution and asset control.. Server proc
urement and installation coordination of E-Server(s) at 18 physical locations to
include certification that the servers were tested and operational. Workstation
procurement and coordination for 200 workstations that did not meet the require
d minimum hardware requirements. Coordination with local, regional and national
managers for application packaging of departmental specific applications. Coord
ination and notification for deployment and conversion to the departments for b
oth new workstations and existing workstations to a new Windows 2000 operating
system with department specific applications and the conversion from a Outlook
E-mail client to a Lotus Notes E-Mail client. Conversions were done by engineers
during the evenings with post implementation support the following morning. Thi
s also involved working with local, regional and national managers for the deplo
yment of an additional 250 Health Connect workstations for electronic patient re
cord distribution.

e hardware and software on Kaufman and Broads 1500 Intel based workstations and

tool of choice.

Responsible for the Design, Planning and Implementation of Cisco routers, Fram
