DAILY LESSON PLAN

Date : 16 Jan 2011

Time : 40 minutes
Form :3
Number of Students :9
Subject : Mathematics
Topic : Circles II

Learning Objective : 3.1 Properties Of Circles

Students will be taught to Understand and use properties of circles involving
symmetry,chords and arcs

Learning Outcomes : Students will be able to;

a)Identify a diameter of a cirle as an axis of symmetry .

b) Determine that :
-A radius that is perpendicular to a chords divides the chord into two equal
parts and vice versa
c) Solve problems involving symmetry, chords and arcs of circles.

Pre – Knowledge : The students have learn the circle in form2 and seen wheels and others in their
life

KBKK : To identify, Measure, Evaluate

Multiple Intelligence : Mathematical Logical, Interpersonal

Values : Cooperation, Responsibility, Diligence and Carefulness

Teaching Aids : Text book, worksheet 1, whiteboard, marker, filter paper

3. Unfold the paper and mark the centre of the Method:
circles.Draw the radius along the fold line Demonstration

4. Fold the filter paper upwards and press the

folderd edge to form a chord.Unfold the filter
paper and draw a chord.
