BANQUET IN HONOR 9F SOPH GOTH 118

From all parts of California they carne


to attend the banquet held in honor of Soph­
us C. Goth. Over 170 were in attendance,
arriving from Los Angeles, Soledad, Fres­
no, Sacramento and other cities all over
the state.
On Saturday, May 2, Soph Goth, retired
vice- president of the Fraser & Johnson Co­
mpany, stood among a crowd of well-wish­
ers in the elegant Versailles Room of the
Leamington Hotel in Oakland.
The brothers gave a resounding applause
when Soph was informed of the room at the
'
chapter house that was named in his honor.
The Soph Goth Room was dedicated as a
tribute to a man who ha s contributed so very
much time and effort to his fraternity.
