Personal
My personal values are based on integrity, trust, diligence, responsibility, car
e, desire, drive and motivation, backed with over 17 years of very successful ex
perience in project, client and business management. I value relationships that
are built on respect, loyalty, performance and dependability. I am very motiva
ted and driven to excellence in the planning, development and management of comp
any and project objectives. I am a current member of the National Society of Pr
ofessional Engineers and the Project Management Institute.
Experience Summary
Previously approved for seating of the Professional Engineer Licensing Exam, I a
m in the process of regaining approval for seating for the exam, with plans to t
est and become PE licensed by 2011. I have experienced very technical projects,
both large and small, and in every phase and process of a construction project
life cycle. I have experienced the very detailed responsibilities of a general
contractor and EPC contractor, and the higher level executive responsibilities o
f an EPCM company. My combined technical (engineering) and management backgroun
ds have provided a solid foundation in the understanding of overall project mana
gement methodologies and programs in all nine PMBOK knowledge areas, as well as
in the comprehension of managing various types of functional/matrix organization
s and groups. I joined N.C. State Universitys Leadership Development Committee
and completed 16 leadership development courses (transcript available), and comp
leted a post-graduate course study titled Organizational Behavior in MBA program
of Virginia Techs Pamplin School of Business. I continued honing those skills
through self studies and through many project successes and lessons learned with
very reputable companies. For power and industrial experience, please see proj
ects listed on page 3 under Southern Energy (now Mirant), Black & Veatch, and J.
A. Jones (now Fluor) during the years of 1993 to 2000.
