Abortion
Gerry Connolly voted for health insurance reform because he
believes the current system is too expensive and gives too much
power to the insurance companies. Northern Virginia families and
small businesses will see lower costs, better quality of care, and
meaningful insurance reforms from this legislation
Healthcare
Supports the new house tax credit and also tax credits for small
business hiring new employees. He also wants to make the
R&D tax credit permanent.

Pro-Life, believes that America should stick to the values on
which the country was founded on
Lowering the cost of insurance through increased competition,
including allowing insurance to be purchased across state lines and
allowing small businesses to pool together to get better rates.
Healthcare costs are a problem. Let’s aggressively take steps to
control costs including the reduction of unnecessary regulation. We
can test these in pilot projects rather than assume they will work.
Increasing portability of healthcare. Healthcare should be linked
to the individual, not the employer. When someone leaves an
employer,
they should be able to take their insurance with them without being
penalized.
No New Tax Pledge, and wants the taxes to be low and broad
base and should not choose winners and losers. And not punish
success also.
 On immigration, Connolly said that securing our borders and 100 percent against illegal immigration,
stopping the flow of illegal immigrants must be a top priority of
the next Congress; however, enforcement is only part of the
solution. He said, “As a local government official, I’ve had to

That system is broken from top to bottom and needs wholesale
reform.”
