My duties included taking care of non critical as well as critical patients. I

Medical-Surgical Step down Unit. (2000). - Provided care to a rapidly changing e
nvironment. I easily adapted to the various needs of my highly demanding and cri
tically ill patients. I maintained a role model status and easily moved into a c
harge nurse position within less than six months. I was able to transition to th
e TCU and further challenge myself to become a critical care nurse.
Shock Trauma Unit SCCC. (2001). I learned how to manage the most critically care
d for patients. I mastered the art of hemodynamically stabilizing patients using
arterial lines, Swan Ganz Catheters, and continuous renal replacement therapy.
I became well versed in the management of head trauma patients including the use
of ventriculostomy, and ICP monitoring. I also took on the charge nurse positio
n which gave me extra responsibility. I was in charge of looking after the assis
tant nurses.
PACU (2004). I used critical skills to care for the post-operative patients on v
entilators. I also was in charge of pain management, and the use of meticulous d
ocumentation to be returned to the appropriate floor. I was on call once a month
for emergent cases.
Radiation Oncology (2005). - I manage and assess triage patients with radiation
effects. I teach on radiation care, and am very adaptive to computer skills, whi
ch is essential to my job.
