Deputy Commandant (2003-2006): Directed daily operations of the U.S. Army Academ
y as the second in command managing 2500+ soldiers as a direct consultant to the
Commandant. Educated the Commandant on recurring and emerging health, welfare,
and training challenges. Authored, evaluated, and updated training modules and s
upporting materials, including student handouts for additional study. Met with e
ach soldier on their first day after reporting to personally verify their compli
ance with Army height and weight requirements. Spoke at graduations as a feature
d speaker.
Escalated Academy graduation rates from 79% to a consistent 97%.
Earned the Meritorious Service Medal and an honorable discharge from the Army a
fter 25 years.

Acting Command Sergeant Major, 1/46 Infantry (2000-2003)


Selected to serve as Acting Command Sergeant Major (E8) of a Basic Training Batt
alion comprised of 1K initial entry-level soldiers and as many as 250 ROTC cadet
s per year. Oversaw facilities and leased inventory worth $2M+ with zero losses.
