WORK EXPERIENCE & PROJECTS:
Neighborhood America July 2008 - July 2010
I am working as a UI engineer in this Social Networking company from Naples, Flo
rida. The work I performed (for the companys CONVERGE and UNIFY line of site pro
ducts/services) included the development of public comment and social networking
web sites on Classic ASP and .NET platforms, using VBScript/jQuery (for ASP) an
d C# for .Net. Experience in working with SQL Server Studio 2005 building querie
s to serve the Quality Assurance department. I did the troubleshooting of the .N
et codebehind pages written in C# to identify the weaknesses in the feature-rich
, data-driven, and interactive social networking application site. I created dll
s for project codebase. Participated in product scalability improvement efforts.
Custom-designed commercial, content-based and advertising-oriented web sites. I
utilized XHTML (with Ajax for richer interactivity of the user interface) to en
hance usability of web pages in Visual Studio.
Developed the graphical user interface (GUI) components in Javascript, Firework
s and ImageReady.
Built interactive graphic arts design images, rollovers, interactive slide show
s, and online as well as offline presentations using professional image-editing
and special effects manipulation software tools (chiefly Adobe ImageReady and Il
lustrator as well as Photoshop CS3).
They required an intranet Web site to keep their user community informed. I des
igned and created project site skins, branded logo image edits, framed page temp
lates, built XHTML/CSS/jQuerycode for pages of the site. My duties also included
a significant amount of JavaScript/DHTML programming, as well as image editing.
High School Mathematics Instructor July 2007 July 2008
I worked at Leaders Preparatory School in Orlando as the Mathematics teacher tas
ked to improve the school curriculum implementation, and students with remedial
learning needs through tutoring. I devised learning strategies, classroom cooper
ation tactics and fostered the team spirit to attain overall improvement in stud
ent understanding not only of the subject-matter but also of values that support
learning and productive classroom conduct. I taught the students the value of b
ooks, languages, logic, computers, and the Internet.
