WORK SUMMARY:
20 plus years of electrical engineering experience in electrical,
electronics, and electromechanical (EEE) parts, quality engineering,
logistics support, systems reliability, modeling, predictions,
derating, component selection, testing, procurement, review
manufacturing processes, military, commercial specifications with
emphasis on system design and analysis, component failure analysis and
problem reporting and corrective actions. Proficient in NASA
documentation, Military Specifications, and ISO-9000 quality
standards.
COMPUTER PROFICIENCY:

Relex Software tool, Microsoft Word, Excel, Microsoft Power Point, MS

Schedules, MS Projects, etc
EDUCATION:
MS, Electrical Engineering, University of Alabama, Huntsville,
Alabama,
BS, Electrical Engineering, Osmania University, India.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:
SAIC, Senior Electrical Engineer 1998-Present
* Assessed component selection, prepare component source control
drawings, parts application analysis (derating), part
specifications, quality standards, standard/ non-standard EEE
parts for both space and commercial applications.
* Assessed technical impacts to space qualified connector
specification changes and
provide technical concurrence to International Space Station (ISS)
hardware.
* Support parts storage and maintain parts tracking system.
* Developed parts application analysis (derating) worksheet, a
design tool to verify piece parts meet the derating criteria per
the requirements.
* Developed counterfeit part mitigation process to screen out
counterfeit parts.
* Technical Member and backup for the space station EEE Parts
Control Board (PCB). Participated in all design reviews and
provide Safety &Mission Assurance responsibilities to assure parts
meet program requirements.
* Monitored ISS EEE Parts Problem Reporting and Corrective Actions
(PRACs) and Failure Investigation Action Reports (FIARs). Provided
closing rationale for all open EEE parts PRACAs and FIARs with
corrective actions. Assessed parts non-conformances to support
Material Review Board.
* Provided technical support in assessing all Government-Industry
Data Exchange
Program (GIDEP), and NASA generated Alert's to ongoing NASA projects.
* Reviewed and provide recommendation of all station change
requests. Submit comments to change request panel for disposition.
* Support NASA Electronic Parts Assurance Group to assess parts
issues or concerned agency wide.
Boeing Aerospace/Reliability Engineer 1993-1998
Worked as a Reliability Engineer with Syscom/Hernandez Engineering,
Inc., subcontract to Boeing Aerospace Division Space Station Contract.
* Provided Reliability-Maintainability (R&M) design guideline data
to NASA and
suppliers to support the design review process for the Electrical
Power System (EPS) architecture for the International Space Station
Program.
* Assure the EPS systems reflect R&M product capabilities by guiding
application of reliability-maintainability analysis results across
applicable
disciplines.
* Assess the EPS architecture Failure Modes and Effects Analysis
(FMEA) and aggregate detail-level FMEA's at the system level
(integration). Integrate
functional FMEA and Hardware FMEA at the space station system level.
* Support Preliminary Item Development Specification (PIDS) changes
and
Flight-by-Flight Reviews to assess reliability and maintainability
impacts.
* Support EPS architecture engineering change assessments by
preparing
reliability and maintainability impact statements to engineering
change
descriptions.
Loral Information Systems: Reliability Engineer 1990 - 1993
* Directly supported NASA/JSC Safety, Reliability and Quality
Assurance EEE Parts Program. Provided technical expertise in
assessing component selection, preparing component specifications,
assessing standard/ non-standard EEE parts for the Space Shuttle
and government furnished equipment.
* Assessed all Government-Industry Data Exchange Program (GIDEP),
and NASA generated Alert's impact to flight hardware and provided
technical rationale to justify the impact.
* Assessed parts failures and developed failure analysis work flows
to identify the root cause and provide corrective actions.
* Saved approximately $75,000.00 to the orbiter program by obtaining
comparable
estimates to perform destructive physical analysis of several critical
components.
* Saved approximately $50,000.00 and 25% engineering time by
developing
alternative tracking method of monitoring in-house hardware failures.
AWARDS:
* Received Going The Extra Mile Award. (individual).
* Received Certificate of Appreciation from NASA/Dynacs for
exceptional contribution and successful completion of EEE parts
audit. (individual)
* Received Certificate of Appreciation for supporting flights 1A/R,
2A.1, 3A,

4A and 5A from Space Station Program Manager. (individual)

* Received ISS Quality Assurance Office Material Review Board
Certification,
June 2002. (individual)
* Received Team Spirit Award for the outstanding contribution in
finalizing the
flight 2A FMEAs. (team award)
* Received space station assembly complete team award from JSC
center director. (team award)
* Received 1992 Safety, Reliability, and Quality Assurance group
achievement award. (team award)
