Manager Volunteer Services 1994 - 2010
Reported to the Vice President of Human Resources / Chief Learning Officer. Man
aged recruitment, interviewing, orientation, placement, education and retention
of all volunteers. In collaboration with management, identified, confirmed and o
perationalized new volunteer work stations while ensuring process compliance wit
h JCAHO and PA DOH standards.
* Promoted program growth from 100 volunteers providing 18,000 hours of service
to 370 volunteers providing 52,000 hours of service.

ugh Health System. Promoted total service lines through the presentation of educ
ational, informational and nutritional programming, promoting healthy lifestyles
, providing social opportunities, supporting and sponsoring various health scree
nings and representing the Health System in an outreach capacity. Communication
with the 20,000+ membership occurs via CHS system newsletter.
* Refined the membership newsletter process in content editing and mailing proce
ss.
* Increased total membership to 20,000+, primarily in Cambria and Somerset Count
ies.
* Consistently promoted CHS service lines including Conemaugh Home Health, Memor
ial Medwell, Medcare DME, Joint Advantage and Nurse Telephone Triage.

Manager Health Information / Physician Referral 1995 - 1999
Reported to the Vice President of Development. Acquired and initiated a system
of computerized medical protocols, topic-based health information and expanded p
hysician referral data to assist in telephone caller symptom evaluation and refe
rral. The 24 hour service was staffed by 13 telephone triage registered nurses.
* Provided original program planning, budgeting, staff recruitment, training and
initiation of service.
* Grew program and call volume to 90,000 annually.
* Produced Conemaugh medical staff-specific protocols not provided in the softwa
re.
* Established the Nurse Triage Task Force to address multidisciplinary managed c
