HUMAN RESOURCE DIRECTOR
Manage entire HR function for ductile pipe manufacturing plant with 375 employee
s, including 310 hourly employees represented by 4 unions, Steelworkers, Machini
sts, Electrical and Boilermakers. Direct all HR activities including employee/la
bor relations, union contract administration, change management, job description
s, training and development, drug testing, hourly attendance program and FMLA co
mpliance, staffing and recruitment, performance management, salary administratio
n and legal issues and compliance.
*Changed hourly hiring process resulting in higher quality employees with increa
sed performance levels and less absenteeism.
*Leading VPP steering team to achieve VPP Star Status; member of Safety Committe

*Involved in Lean/Kaizen events resulting in continuous improvement of productio
n/maintenance processes
*Conduct monthly training for managers and supervisors resulting in knowledge of
federal/state employment/labor law, company policies and procedures, consistent
discipline and practices throughout plant, grievance status and discussion of i
