Research Experience:
Molecular Biology Project:
June-July 2006: Transformation and Cloning of bacteriophage lambda:- an attempt
to randomly clone lambda fragments into E.coli vector pUC18 resulting in incorp
oration of two fragments into two different transformants which were identified
as a part of "DNA replication protein gene" in bacteriophage lambda. More recent
ly it is being applied in antisense RNA technology.
Institute: Molecular Laboratory, Department of Zoology, Universi
ty of Delhi, India
Soil Microbiology Project:
January-March 2005: Screening of zinc tolerant microbes and phytoremediation of
zinc contaminated soil.
Institute: GGDSD College, Sector 32, Panjab University, Chandig
arh, India
Health Education Project:
June-July 2003: Reduction of pollution in baking industry:- Identified all sign
ificant environmental aspects that generated various pollution like air, water,
noise and pollution through food additives and subsequently bring reduction in t
he pollution.
Company: Britannia International Ltd., New Delhi, India.
Society Honors:
Undertook a project called VALUE LIFE-UPROOT ADULTERATION. The project aimed at
safeguarding peoples health from poisonous and harmful foods. It targeted commun
ity of 2000 people in rural areas where most people suffered from malnutrition.
The intention was to upgrade the value of life by uprooting adulteration and thu
s contributing to the society selflessly. Initiated workshops and delivered lect
ures on prevention of food adulteration. This became possible with the full supp
ort and co-operation of Dr.Watsy (L.H.A, govt. of Delhi) who gave a talk on food
adulteration and shared his knowledge and experiences with everyone present the
re.as I believe TOGETHER YOU AND I...CAN HOLD HIGHTHE VALUE OF LIFE
Academic Service:

igarh, India.
Secured 3rd position in choreo (scientific play) performed in COSMID-2005 at GG
DSD College, Chandigarh, India
Active participation in National Science Day celebrations at Panjab University.
