Completed Project On-Time And Within Budget. Selected by FEMA as top engineer to
lead Missouri ice storm cleanup efforts. Recruited civil engineers to clear awa
y broken trees that destroyed private homes and property. Managed project budget
, ensuring project completion met scheduling specifications and within budget.
Turned Around And Reengineered Substandard Facility, Gaining National Recognitio
n. Hired by Vicars as civil engineer to upgrade and rebuild senior living proper
ty. Built engineering team, led construction efforts and managed $20M capital bu
dget. Led project through complete renovation, improving resident desirability r
ating from #30 to #3 nationally.
Saved Maintenance Costs And Ensured Quality. Historically, Vicars experienced eq
uipment failure, resulting in increased costs and dissatisfied residents. Design
ed and implemented preventative maintenance and quality assurance scheduling sys
tem for 4500 HVAC units and electrical equipment. Reduced expenses 3% per year.
Engineered International Security-Sensitive Operation. Contracted by US governme
nt to manage $15M international construction projects. Evaluated specifications,
created and executed project action plans and oversaw building efforts. Built f
uel station and ammunition storage facility within twelve months. Ensured federa
l compliance.
CAREER HISTORY
Engineering Technical Representative, U.S. Department of Energy, Savannah River
2009 to 2010. Recruited as a general contractor to provide engineering services
to this government nuclear power plant. Managed work and work site contract empl
oyees. Oversaw construction projects for Gantry Crane take down.
Project Officer, FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Agency), 2009. A government
emergency response agency. Managed disaster projects in the United States. Direc
ted engineering and clean-up efforts of large trees after ice storm disaster. Ov
ersaw infrastructure repair and replacement efforts. Ensured projects were compl
eted within budget.
Senior Project Manager / General Contractor, Al Sahara Group, Baghdad, Iraq, 200
8. Recruited to manage and construct $15M fuel station and ammunition storage fo
r headquarters US Army.
Facilities Engineer / Owner, The Facilities Engineering Consulting Company, Inc.
, 2006 to 2008. Started and operated this engineering firm providing inspection,
structural, electrical and HVAC services to consumers. Held full P&L responsibi
lity.
Director of Operations, Vicars Landing, 1996 to 2006. Managed and led constructi
on renovation of this $5.5M, 38 unit assisted living facility. Directed daily op
erations and ensured quality of services. Managed 20 employees.
